Finally bet one here, West Approach looks too big at 20’s.

If Native River went, it would give him a smashing weight, and I think he’s better than a 20-1 shot. Obvious concern that Robbie Power will be at Leapordstown, but at that price, he’s worth an early play.

West Approach 20’s EW 5 Places

No Nath, don’t know the reason, I thought they might fancy putting him back over Hurdles.

I like Steely Addition as well. A little E/Way at 20/1

I’ve bet two in this already. Now Mcginty + Joe Farrell.

Now Mcginty is my main bet + Joe Farrell is definitely a backup

Can’t see West Approach going here with him out tomorrow.

Best I can hope for is a nice win to get my stake back, and I’d take that right now.

I backed Potters Corner at 40/1, (in Pat’s ante post thread) three weeks
back and I’m hoping that his win at Chepstow last Saturday might convince them to
have a go. He showed great improvement from his poor run at Haydock 2 weeks prior
and I think he would do well here. I’ll be happy enough if he shows up and gives
me a run for my money.

    Joe Tizzard blog…

“I think Elegant Escape will be our one runner in the Coral Welsh Grand National.
Garth and Anne Broom are keen for Native River to go to the Cheltenham Gold Cup reasonably fresh, so we’ll likely target the Cotswold Chase or the Denman Chase for him.
He’ll just have the one run and then we’ll have a real good crack at the Gold Cup again.”

Well spotted Mike and extremely interesting news for owners of horses currently out of the handicap including my fancy for the race.
