This looks a decent race, with reigning Champion Hurdler Punjabi taking on last year’s Supreme Novice runner-up Medermit. Throw into the mix the relatively unexposed Donna’s Palm and you have an interesting race. The one I think is overpriced is Won In The Dark. It ran a shocker last time out but on his best form he’d be bang there. I don’t know what running plans are for him though, maybe this will come too soon.
Punjabi will be up for this one I think with a run under his belt, but even that I will have to take Donna’s Palm who I think is overpriced when you take Medermit’s price.

Couldn’t see any of them getting near Punjabi but he’s very stuffy and you wouldn’t know how fit Nicky Henderson will have him. He certainly won’t be 100% but wouldn’t have to be to beat Donna’s Palm.
Sure she’s in grand form but has beat nothing to write home about and she’ll find Punjabi and Medermit a bit less to her liking than she can handle IMO.

He’s unlikely to be primed to the minute for a small race at this stage of the season, but then he shouldn’t need to be. Any improvement on his last run should be good enough, (almost certain, given his trainer’s words before and after the race) and you’d expect him to win this comfortably.
The weather’s long odds-on to prove the ultimate victor though.- Total Posts 17716
