This section as become a bit of a dead fish over past few years thus it doesnt warrant writing much, all the same:-
WARWICK 12.50 LUXURIX (13.0 Betfair) Despite being a late edition to the hurdling ranks the Paul Green owned son of Linamix was always going to be sent over sticks once he was purchased from the yard of J C Rouget, this horse as plenty of ability as he showed when winning a Wolves h`cap hard held off a mark of 70,despite not being seen since then he`s reportedly very fit for his hurdling debut, the easing of ground conditions will be to his advantage,Warwick is the perfect introductory track for debutants,on paper the Alan King trained OUZBECK is the one to beat, however,i was slightly disappointed when he made hard work of beating SHORE THING lto, interestingly enough another Webber horse (Future chaser) MERCHANT RED was only 15L behind, he wouldnt get that close to LUXURIX so in the receipt of 7lbs we can be optimistic despite Alan King being in great form, im assured Peau Aime is more of a chasing type for the future thus he shouldnt have the pace to be competitive!!
Two others i fancy today at acceptable prices are:-
H1.10 NEVERTIKA.a real chaser in the making and receiving weight from the right ones!
H 1.40 SAFARI RUN is rated 123, i find the 4/1 massive for him to beat the likeable TOT O WHISKY (level weights) despite Rose being in the saddle, my only concern is the going has “Supreme Leaders“ usually prefer faster conditions, still, at current price its a risk worth taking!!
November 21, 2007 at 12:07 #126063Nice one Tony, this section that I used to moderate has become dead because not many have the balls to make a selection these days, it’s all lay this lay that, some (that I’ll refrain from mentioning) even feel it’s best to put up a selection in the horse racing section incase no-one gets to read it in here.
There used to be a daily heading and members would post their fancies in there but that seems to have gone.
Anyway enough of that, good luck with those

One I’m interested in this evening at a price is SILENT STORM (8.20 Kempton), although he’s lost his way a bit he appears to have a sporting chance in this if he can find his Lingfield form, he did show a little bit last time and he could surprise. I’ll be looking for around 25/1, I’ll probably also be having an interest in Isobel Rose in this race too.
November 21, 2007 at 18:07 #126162Jim…….Seems to be plenty of interest today, maybe others will return if people get behind it,however, you know what its like when tipping, your as good as your last tip !!
Good luck with SILENT STORM tonight, certainly a working mans price!
November 21, 2007 at 18:09 #126163I like Majestical (8.50 Kempton) he’s been placed in his last three starts and might just be first past the post tonight.
November 21, 2007 at 22:48 #126193Out of luck with Silent Storm but I wasn’t happy with the ride he was given, out the back and ran on very late in the day to finish 9th (25/1), I had added him in an e/w double with the over priced Hollow Jo (2nd 16/1) in the first race

I’ll be keeping a close eye on Silent Storm throughout the AW season as he will win a small race (probably at Lingfield)
