We have a Karinga Bay out of a Zambrano mare, a Karinga Bay out of an Executive Perk mare, a Double Trigger out of a Royal Vulcan mare, a Primitive Rising out of a Buckley mare, a Nomadic Way out of a Buckley mare, a Karinga Bay out of an Oats mare, an Alflora out of an Accordion mare. Stamina pretty much on both sides; the Alflora and Nomadic Way have stout dam lines since their sires wouldn’t necessarily be the most stamina imparting of NH sires.
How old are your horses Shadow?
October 21, 2009 at 20:16 #254666Happy, you asked me if I subscribed to a specific theory; I said no, yet that wasn’t enough?! Throw a woman a line, would ya?! Sorry if I gave the impression I knew everything about breeding; sadly not! I don’t suppose anyone does, anyway.
My horses are between 3 and 7, if that really helps, Kiwi!
December 12, 2009 at 19:02 #263585What if you cross a 5f sprint with a stayer? Would it work? Or is that nonsense?
December 12, 2009 at 20:54 #263601Any mating could potentially work Kauto, When you come to visit my yard, ill drag some pedigrees out and talk you through them. Everyone has their own ideas about what makes up a good pedigree, but only my theories are right! lol. Joking aside, there are plenty of stayer/sprinter matings in Australasia that have been quite successful, Ill dig some out for you.
BTW, When are you coming to visit? All being well, Ill be training in the UK in 2010, it would be nice to train a winner for you!!December 12, 2009 at 20:58 #263603How are your horses getting on Happy?
December 19, 2009 at 14:45 #264535Sorry to hear about the virus, it always spreads like wildfire doesnt it. From your news it seems like your plugging on and getting there though.
Were all frozen in Malton at the moment, We have been trotting round Tims barn for 2 days, horses are jumping out of their skins! Brian Rothwell is back in the UK and is working half a dozen horses from the same yard, so we have been working in with each other which is great for me because I get the benifit of his 20 years experience. Roll on the spring though, Im desperate to get cracking with these youngsters. - AuthorPosts
