It would/will be the great man’s birthday in a few day time and I was lucky enough to watch him as a boy and to have a pint with him a few years back. Probably one of the greatest footballers England has produced. Honest tough and a mountain of a man. His horse is run for the Kevin Beattie foundation by Richard Fahey and he did them proud last night. Fitting that it came on the same evening as the world cup semi final. A brilliant guy and like every genius, only human.Happy valley of all places for a long range selection.
