    CHERRY BLOOM
    Win
    Billy Lee rides.
This horse switched stables last year from the yard who have won this race the last two years.
They do not have a runner in this race.
The horse has been campaigned exclusively on the all weather since.
Mark has fallen 19 pounds and horse runs from same stall as last year’s winner.
Two many obvious clues to ignore that this horse has a great chance to take the race given original trainer not “involved” today.
With essentially only one recent winner in the field as well as maiden winner CHERRY BLOOM this is all but a maiden in name.
    Small saver win

I’m sticking with this thread for now while the new one develops in the pipeline.
I’ve used the soul selection thread to good effect these last few days, but want to preserve it for relative single use.
So until the opportunity arises it is back to the stars….

    Doncaster 1.21
    Two win selections.
A new yard has emergered in Newmarket.
They have very few runners but their current stable star is
    MRS
    MR FAYEZ stall 1.
Running 4th 3rd and 2nd in recent races.
The trainer is a South African ( Dylan Cunha) with a very positive outlook.
Seems to have like views to me about Hong Kong and loves racing. Very positive attitude and when more horses come his way will be a very successful trainer.
    THE COLA KID

Runs in a class six for the first time shoulders top weight and is the highest drawn highest weighted runner.
The draw itself is more middle than high.
Beaten favourite the last three runs. Likely to run well again.

    FIT FOR FUNCTION
    each way
Won this race in 2918 and runs off bottom weight here in a stall which is close to the three year winning average. ( Stall 6)
Won off a three pound higher mark for this young jockey in April at Dundalk.
Takes off seven pounds so an obvious chance.

    WARREN BEACH
    Win
Ran third over further to Derby hopeful CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD at dundalk.
Followed up with another good place before reverting to headgear and seven furlongs to win well.
Remains at that trip for this rated race against two in form runners.
Has to concede ten pounds to Joseph O’Briens runner but keeps the same 90 rating.
Has been rated 95 before and meets these on handicap terms and likely to prove hard to beat under Billy Lee. Only curveball is the weight but may be good enough.
The ten pounds conceeded includes Jockey’s seven pound claim so Billy Lee in the saddle covers that.

General medrano makes debut for Emma Lavelle after a good third at punchestown in a bumper 446 days ago and therefore may need the run.

    FLASHING GLANCE
    Win
    SHENTRI
    Looks a handicap blot
Won well last time over fences.
Mark for hurdles has been well guarded including when well backed beaten favourite off a mark of 124 immediately after a win off 119 stable “said could not go the pace”
    Goes here off 118
Looks to make every post a winning one again here before the handicapper cottons on.
Runs off the same here as last time over fences and likely to be hard to beat.
Flashing GLANCE is rated in the 130s and could also go close here under Stan Sheppard.

A nice 66/1 in the Derby. MASEKElA available at 80s and better earlier

Back to the basics a very short priced runner in a very small field.
None of these runners can seek any cover and it goes without saying the horse that gets the bull by the horns wins.

No chance with union court as it turned out.
Union court has a few smart entries and readily asserted.
Billy’s joy was well forward though and paid evens without the winner. As an early foal Billy’s joy had a maturity advantage over the other debutantes and kept on once passed. Likely next time winner on that showing if found a race.

Made up ground in good fashion and won’t be far away in due course……
    WARREN BEACH won in Ireland
UNCLE ARTHUR easily won his bumper
    BILLY’S JOY was a winner
    ( without the favourite)
While a big priced placed horse added to last year’s derby winner @ 66/1 in fifth place.
