I reck i’ll be betting Chianti Classico on the day, but i’ve punted,
GEVREY E/W 1st 6 places, in last hour at 50/1 with 365.
March 11, 2024 at 11:00 #1684497Two I really like here are Trelawne and Chianti Classico, both from the stable of Kim Bailey.
Trelawne caught my eye when giving me a ‘hold on minute this looks special’ moment in a staying handicap hurdle on Midlands National Day last year. Promising over fences this year at shorter distacnes and the step up to this distance is likely to bring some improvement.
Chianti Classico is another promising novice, twice a winner at that level and then not far behind Flegmatik at Kempton last time. Like Trelawne, just the progressive lightly raced sort I look for in this race.
Market is plenty competitive so I will leave prices until the day.
March 11, 2024 at 15:31 #1684557I’ll try Trelawne 15-2 ew 7 places
March 11, 2024 at 15:56 #1684560Hoping step up in trip helps Trelawne, and I think the soft ground should suit him much better than Chianti Classico. Don’t think Bass was ever going to ride, but Bailey has secured a handy replacement. Been well punted, and won’t be far off favourite.
March 11, 2024 at 17:08 #1684575Money about for the NTD horse , brother is sweet on it , not convinced it’s that well handicapped
March 11, 2024 at 18:57 #1684611Missed the 50s on Gevrey but have taken the 33s each way. Could be a prep for the Irish Nash but still think the race will be ideal for him.
Given the British record in this race i had to back one of our own too and Lord Du Mesnil is the one, also each way. I was able to snaffle the last of the 40s on offer.
The Goffer is just too short to back given the way he tied up after the last fence last year.
March 11, 2024 at 19:07 #1684617Trelawne and Kittys Light for me though the ground has definitely gone against the latter.
Small stake on Bussleton at 95’s as well.March 11, 2024 at 20:36 #1684632I’m on the Gevrey train too. Sorry!
March 11, 2024 at 20:52 #1684636The goffer in an each way double with Firefox in the supreme and I’m going to chance found on each way as well.
March 11, 2024 at 21:09 #1684637TC, Im into Found On E/W, nice price and likes a rest between races. Good luck all!
March 12, 2024 at 07:45 #1684698It’ll take a bit of getting today. My selections might not have a stone up their sleeves but they should get round and get home, and the first two have course form
