Facile Vega was always going to be ridden like that in the hope of preserving stamina (although if I were riding it I’d have had him on the outer, with a clearer view of his fences. Because he is usually tracking pace at shorter… And Zanahir needs to be ridden patiently – not the best of temperaments either though runs well at Cheltenham.
