I was quite impressed by Sonic Pioneer in the opening race at Kempton yesterday. He travelled well, his jumping looked slick and he won by a wide margin with Sean Bowen only using hands and heels.

OK, he probably didn’t beat much. And Mullins will no doubt have a battalion to unleash. But I am not surprised to see that the 50/1 available with BetMGM and Virgin Bet this morning has gone. I doubt a horse trained by Henderson, Nicholls or Skelton which won a juvenile hurdle by such a wide margin would have been quoted at that price.

I don’t have an account with either of the above firms but I have thrown a fiver on with Hills at a boosted 37/1. He probably won’t live with the Mullins contingent but he looked good and I would kick myself if he went and won.

    CAS,

That’s the first hurdle winner sired by Massaaat – seven others have tried without success, although a couple have won a bumper.

Amazing that Sonic Pioneer got the trip so well, considering the dam was also a 7F specialist, same as Massaat.

Yeah. I had a whisper the other day so picked Proactif for the Cheltenham comp.

I’m glad they’re saving Feel Gut for next season ( although De Bromhead had been sent a brilliant French juvenile by the Double Green team. Looks very promising ) Almost backed him for this

I’ve tickled Majolique , did a lot wrong on Sunday but still won easily , that flat win in France is a strong form line to , thought 20s was a fair price

    Highland Crystal 16s ew

She gave Saratoga half a stone last run (albeit he wasn’t given a hard time) and he has just hacked up. She’ll stay for days too.

I’m pleased to see that Proactif is on the drift. I’ll hopefully get over 5-1, and I’m definitely betting him.

Forty Fifty is my ew play at 50-1

One Horse Town won the Most Important Three Year Old race at Hexham way back on Derby Day. I posted on the thread in jest “Next stop the Triumph Hurdle”. Yet here he is in the race itself.

I doubt he will win but I feel duty bound to back him at 66/1 in what might not be a vintage renewal.

If Minella Study wins no matter where you are in the country you’ll probably hear me screaming him home. Bit worried about all this rain though.( However have realised he was bred by Ms Rausling who tends to breed soft ground horses, and he does paddle in the sea each day)

Was super impressed with Selma De Vary at the DRF and have fancied her for this since.

Have added Highland Crystal w/o the 2 favs also.

I had a good day yesterday so going to fritter a chunk of it away today.
I’m already on Kai Lung and Highland Crystal so will add ews on
Minella Academy…possibly was ready for his life to win that academy hurdle first time out and sell for £££ but he looked quite good doing it
Noemie de la Vis- bit of size and on pedigree she’ll stay if she doesn’t cart her jockey; I’m a sucker for an absolute headbanger

Got the Danny Mullins ew treble and win doubles on again today, though Murcia won’t like the rain.

I think all of the North ( Inc me ) is on Minella Study , it’s a prime example of actual form not being taken into account because it’s a small yard , he’s looked a weapon so far

    Minella Study 5-1.

The more I know the less I understand.
