Disagree, I think Cheltenham will suit tritonic a lot better as it’s a stiffer track. I would expect him to beat them by further

Cant see any possible way any of those get near him at Cheltenham

This looks a belting race now with 3 very good looking horses potentially lining up and another in monmiral who will skip it makes the division look strong

Thought he ran a very promising race considering he ran like a looning for 3/4s of the race.

Probably not going to have learnt enough for a Triumph, but he’s very talented.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!

True and at least he did make an effort to try to win despite the fact that he had aleady beaten himself. Poor Townend likely still picking the ends of the horse’s ears out of his teeth.

Tritonic did alrite. The 2nd wanted some rain so I’m not surprised Tritonic beat him easier this time. The 3rd ran promising, looked green on UK debut.

Tritonic won well but that form is dubious at best for me. He’s also a sticky jumper and looks quirky (he’s not ‘green’ he’s had 11 races).
Irish form is stronger and the two GE beasts look slicker and much more straight-forward.

Agree with that kev, if he hasnt learned after 11 races, hurdles or not, then hes not going to, just quirky

Elliots form certainly on another level

I can see Tritonic getting heavily punted for this now. It cannot be ideal for Zanahiyr and Quilixios to move stables so close to the race.

As Paul Keely pointed pit on Twitter 6 of the last 11 winners of the Melbourne Cup came from Europe. they had to travel to Australia and spend 2 weeks in quarantine and they got the job done. Obviously these horses are only 4 year olds but you’d imagine they should be ok

And it looks like Zanahiyr has not moved after all, contrary to what was reported last night.

With the Melbourne Cup horses they’re accompanied by their regular career/rider, can try and state in the same exercise routine and will be on the same feed AFAIK.
None of these things will more than likely have happened with the horses moved.

The horse I like as an EW alternative is Tax For Max at 40s. He was fifth in a German G1 over 1m4f last November and was introduced rather late over hurdles when finishing 2nd to Teahupoo only three weeks ago.

That was a fair effort and who knows what to expect, but it’s interesting to see that Mullins has declared him for the race.

I’m on him already Ruby but he’s as mad as a box of frogs. If he’s still a maiden next year (likely) I’ll back him forvthe supreme cos he’ll carry 2 stone less.

His form on good ground in the German Dante Stakes at Cologne is pretty decent and the best Flat form by far I’d say. I expect him to be suited by the ground and be much sharper this time.

I reckon Zanahiyr will be the better horse in time, but I think Quilixios is the better horse now, so I’m on him.

So don't run, just like the others always do

If he was any sharper he’d cut himself. Which would save the vet from doing it. Granted it took some engine to do what he did FTO and still come 2nd. I feel sorry for Daryl Jacob.
