Sir Erec had the run of the race today, I’m not getting carried away just yet even if he was a horse I liked enormously on the flat.
February 3, 2019 at 18:44 #1395077Sir Erec looks an out and out Cheltenham horse
February 3, 2019 at 20:48 #1395098Hope so Joe, bloody delighted with that today.
February 7, 2019 at 16:35 #1395382What are people’s opinions on Pic D’Orhy going down the Fred Winter route instead?
Nicholls does like to aim his French imports in that direction previously and I’m just wondering if Sir Erec’s performance may scare a few off.
Clearly would be up around top weight.
10/1 NRNB Skybet
February 7, 2019 at 17:09 #1395387I doubt his mark would allow him WJ?

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 8, 2019 at 11:21 #1396863I’d say its a 1.01 shot he runs in the Triumph or nothing, been given a mark of 149 so would be giving a stone to most of the field.
February 8, 2019 at 12:07 #1396867149 wow, that must make him the highest rated juvenile in Britain without even running.
February 8, 2019 at 14:19 #1396879Yep WJ, his form entitles it to be fair.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 11, 2019 at 08:15 #1397139For anyone that fancies Sir Erec and likes a bit of perceived value, he is 6/4 to win the Triumph with Skybet or 15/8 to win any race….NRNB
February 19, 2019 at 13:50 #1398266Pic D’Orhy nearly got an entry in the Dovecote this week but they decided he didn’t need the prep run after his busy season in France.
From Harry Dernham on FF Podcast.
Excellent news
February 19, 2019 at 20:40 #1398306I know this looks a weaker than usual division but Sir Erec would be lay of the festival at the current prices in my eyes. Had everything go his way last time, less likely to occur at Cheltenham. Still prefer Gardens of Babylon.

I think nicholls said in a q&a that hes not commited
Pic dorhy to the race yet, IMO i think he will go but something to think about maybe?February 23, 2019 at 14:37 #1398907Wow. Seriously impressive performance from Fusil Raffles there.
February 23, 2019 at 15:31 #1398915It was but think he’s injured.
February 25, 2019 at 13:17 #1399072Raffles out, ICYMI.
February 26, 2019 at 17:21 #1399142Pic D’orhy –
‘He’ll only go to Cheltenham if there’s softer ground. If it’s fast spring ground he’ll probably wait for Aintree.
March 7, 2019 at 15:40 #1400082Fakir Doudairies 6-1 and Gardens of Babylon 14-1 for me here.
I had bet Fusil Raffles at 33-1, that was the worst point of the season for me when he got injured.
