Sir Erec had the run of the race today, I’m not getting carried away just yet even if he was a horse I liked enormously on the flat.

Sir Erec looks an out and out Cheltenham horse

What are people’s opinions on Pic D’Orhy going down the Fred Winter route instead?

Nicholls does like to aim his French imports in that direction previously and I’m just wondering if Sir Erec’s performance may scare a few off.

Clearly would be up around top weight.

    10/1 NRNB Skybet

I doubt his mark would allow him WJ?

I’d say its a 1.01 shot he runs in the Triumph or nothing, been given a mark of 149 so would be giving a stone to most of the field.

149 wow, that must make him the highest rated juvenile in Britain without even running.

Yep WJ, his form entitles it to be fair.

For anyone that fancies Sir Erec and likes a bit of perceived value, he is 6/4 to win the Triumph with Skybet or 15/8 to win any race….NRNB

Pic D’Orhy nearly got an entry in the Dovecote this week but they decided he didn’t need the prep run after his busy season in France.

From Harry Dernham on FF Podcast.

    Excellent news

I know this looks a weaker than usual division but Sir Erec would be lay of the festival at the current prices in my eyes. Had everything go his way last time, less likely to occur at Cheltenham. Still prefer Gardens of Babylon.

    Pic D’orhy –

‘He’ll only go to Cheltenham if there’s softer ground. If it’s fast spring ground he’ll probably wait for Aintree.

Fakir Doudairies 6-1 and Gardens of Babylon 14-1 for me here.

I had bet Fusil Raffles at 33-1, that was the worst point of the season for me when he got injured.
