For sure, Psychiatry was never an each-way price in this instance.

In fact it might have been odds-on.

You both seem to be at odds,🐑 so a trip to St Ives, post lockdown, is my favoured prescription.🐑🐑

Might just do that, not been to St Ives for a while and I’ve just trousered a few quid from the Masters Snooker – what a cracking final it was as well. Well done Yan, a young man who will surely be world champ one day.

Just informed the local Cornwall police to look out for a stranger – an illegal possibly wearing a colourful shirt, flashing a lot of cash in local stores – and to be ready with their £200 fine.

You’ve not started that diet yet..😅
Well done with Yan. I can’t believe he is still only 20, feels like he has been around forever.

Did you see the frame where Yan was 67 behind with 67 on the table? The balls weren’t favourably placed for him to clear the table at all – but clear it he did and potted the re-spotted black to win. Superb stuff.

    I didn’t catch that.
I was doing quizzes with Alex in the evening and put the snooker on quite late. Think it was 8-8 at the time but I was cheering Yan on. I’m not keen on Higgins, I respect he’s a quality player who has won everything but I do like an underdog in Snooker

Like many, I have had my share of childhood holidays in Devon and Cornwall.

I always preferred Devon (& Exeter).

Been racing at Haldon Hill many times and going back to when it was Devon and Exeter rather than just Exeter, as you’ve alluded to. Musselburgh was known as Edinburgh back then as well.

Names change, but places remain the same.

One of my very favourites, wonderful course to walk.

First went in August 1978 during a family holiday: it was a sun-drenched day, proper parched Hard ground, the old 3m1f summer chute was still in use.

I must get back there some sunny day.

You’d be lucky to catch a sunny day there now. Rainy, cold, foggy – yes. Proper winter game racing

A nicely situated racecourse for a Panama hat and a pretty girl on yer arm, or a summer breeze if you can’t find one. The castle quite nearby is a bit of history and the course is approached by the old Tamesis and a reflective winding walk home, possibly looking for your wallet.

It’s less than a ten minute drive for me, but I don’t go past any castles. No summer breeze either, they stopped summer racing there many years ago.

It’s only a short walk to a well known dogging place though. Er, apparently

Just for you, gamble – check it out once the social distancing shite is finished”’

    NOTES ABOUT THIS DOGGING LOCATION
Coming from Exeter, go up Haldon Hill towards the Race Course. Take the first left after you pass the Little Chef on your right. Go along a narrow country lane. A car park will be on your left.
