We’ve had a competition the last few years on TRF, going up against Pricewise with his Ante-Post Cheltenham picks, so if anybody is interested, I’ll run one this year.
He starts off with The Champion Hurdle this This Tuesday, followed by The World Hurdle on Wednesday, and The Gold Cup on Thursday. Looks like a slightly different format this year, with the 3 big ones getting covered over 3 days this week, but I would expect him to also cover……
Supreme
Arkle
Neptune Novices
RSA
Champion Chase
Ryanair
Triumphbut I’ll watch it as each week progresses.
The main aim is to be beat him, but obviously wee bit of kudos for whoever comes out on top of the TRF tipsters. I’ll throw in £50 to the winner as well. It was £100 last year, but I felt a right tit after having a losing Cheltenham, and having to dig deep, so not taking any chances this year Just a bit of fun, so £50 is more than enough for you lot.
Here’s a reminder of last years thread, won by Keptonsamepace, who put in a decent performance, managing to edge out Pricewise & Thehorsesmouth, with Charles Olney not far away either. The rest of you were, erm, disappointing
The Rules are as follows
– One selection per race, unless Pricewise makes additiional selections, either 2ps win or 1pt each way.
– If Pricewise takes a price which is not yet advertised, as he did with Saphir Du Rheu last year, then those who have already made that selection will automatically get that price if they’ve taken lower.
– Prices taken only with high street/internet bookies. No Exchange Prices.
– Selections can be made for a race, only after the time and date stipulated on here. With the apparent change in schedule this year, I’ll keep as close an eye on it as possible. If you can’t make it on here for a race, let me know, either on here or by private message, and I will take the best price available once the race opens.
– Anyone not stipulating win or each way, will automatically be given their selection as each way (please please double check this)
– Prices quoted at the time of posting (i.e no aftertiming), try to quote which Firms are offering the price on your selections, again AT THE TIME OF POSTING, or just state if generally available. Please, please, please do not make up a price, or use one which is long gone…….leading me to get bombarded by private messages complaining about people cheating.
– Late entries permitted, but only allowed to use prices at the time of posting………entries will close at 2359 on 31st January.– That’s it. If anyone thinks of anything I’ve missed from last year, then fire away.

Hi Vtc, just one question, does the bet count towards our total if a non runner and we’ve quoted an NRNB price?
Value Is EverythingJanuary 9, 2016 at 17:58 #1229081Hi Joe, thanks for that, but I don’t really mind, it’s a bit of work pulling it together, but just got to get on with it, though I do sometimes burst out crying when people bend the rules, or more commonly, I make a rip roaring 4rse of it. A few people made contributions to The Ten To Follow, so I was keen for this to remain free to enter.
Having said that, if people want to send me hard cash to spend on myself, then I won’t discourage them haha
Best of luck with your picks Joe
