My choice for the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup, I initially thought of him as a Grand National horse, however last year he proved more than that.

Last year it was as a late supplement that he nearly won it, this year I think he’ll get a better preparation.

My Ante Post tip is 2pts win ON HIS OWN (20/1 generally available )

Will be back later with Pricewise’s selection

With everyone else, there isn’t much value in the fav so it’s worth shopping around. Desperately torn between two.

One of them has always had a little something about him and has shown vast improvement from last year, however seemed out of his dept when tackling this kind of opposition last season. 33/1.

The other one has proven class and a fantastic record at Cheltenham, however has something to prove after a disappointing return to the bigger obstacles. 50/1.

I’m going to opt for the one i feel is slightly less exposed in this field and is perhaps on the verge of mugging several people who were on him last time who’ve abandoned him since…

    Fingal Bay 1pt E/W @ 50/1 (Various)

And if Houblon Des Obeaux gets himself a place (or better!) i’ll cry!

    THE GIANT BOLSTER 1pt each-way @33/1 with Bet365

The ‘Giant’ simply comes alive one Friday in March every year and I’m thinking he’ll come third and so given that I think Silviniaco Conti will win and that I’m already set for a good return if Dynaste runs placed, this seemed the best ante-post selection for this.

Hope I’m not too late here,

Champion Hurdle, Tiger Roll 1pt ew @ 40/1 Lads

Gold Cup, Lord Windermere 1pt ew @ 16/1 lads.

    Thanks folks.

World Hurdle Hurricane Fly (25/1 Stan James) 2pt win

If he runs he’ll either win or not stay, so no each-way for me.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

    Gold Cup

I’m a great Silviniaco Conti fan but I don’t think Cheltenham is his lucky course, expect Dynaste will go the Ryanair route so I’m opting for:

    Holywell @ 14/1 Ladbrokes 2 points win

Dynaste 2pt win at 16s with Lads/PP or whichever are NRNB. Think he has an outstanding chance here, but fear he may go Ryanair.

I don’t believe Holywell can beat Silviniaco Conti – even at Cheltenham – but the latter will probably be bigger on the day whereas Holywell is bound to be shorter and anything can happen between now and then so

    Holywell 1pt e/w @ 14 generally

    Lee
