Lord Windermere
16/1 Ladbrokes
1pt each/wayBlackbeard to conquer the World
January 11, 2015 at 12:49 #501118I have a similar view to milbear0 on the Gold Cup and am quite happy to side with Holywell now that Jonjo has had a couple of winner this weekend,
1pt E/W Holywell at 14/1 (various)
January 11, 2015 at 13:36 #501125Bobs Worth 16s (general) 2 pts win
January 11, 2015 at 13:40 #5011262pts win Carlingford Lough 33/1 Bet Vic Gold Cup
January 11, 2015 at 13:42 #501127Gold Cup Boston Bob 2 points win 20/1 Lads
January 11, 2015 at 14:18 #501132Boston bob for me also 20/1 (widely available Ladbrokes, stan james) 1pt ew
January 11, 2015 at 14:19 #501133My choice for the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup, I initially thought of him as a Grand National horse, however last year he proved more than that.
Last year it was as a late supplement that he nearly won it, this year I think he’ll get a better preparation.
My Ante Post tip is 2pts win ON HIS OWN (20/1 generally available )
Will be back later with Pricewise’s selection
January 11, 2015 at 16:18 #501143With everyone else, there isn’t much value in the fav so it’s worth shopping around. Desperately torn between two.
One of them has always had a little something about him and has shown vast improvement from last year, however seemed out of his dept when tackling this kind of opposition last season. 33/1.
The other one has proven class and a fantastic record at Cheltenham, however has something to prove after a disappointing return to the bigger obstacles. 50/1.
I’m going to opt for the one i feel is slightly less exposed in this field and is perhaps on the verge of mugging several people who were on him last time who’ve abandoned him since…
Fingal Bay 1pt E/W @ 50/1 (Various)
…
And if Houblon Des Obeaux gets himself a place (or better!) i’ll cry!
January 11, 2015 at 18:20 #501152Shutthefrontdoor 2 pts win 20/1
January 11, 2015 at 20:35 #501171THE GIANT BOLSTER 1pt each-way @33/1 with Bet365
The ‘Giant’ simply comes alive one Friday in March every year and I’m thinking he’ll come third and so given that I think Silviniaco Conti will win and that I’m already set for a good return if Dynaste runs placed, this seemed the best ante-post selection for this.
January 11, 2015 at 20:52 #501172Hope I’m not too late here,
Champion Hurdle, Tiger Roll 1pt ew @ 40/1 Lads
Gold Cup, Lord Windermere 1pt ew @ 16/1 lads.
Thanks folks.
January 11, 2015 at 22:45 #501181World Hurdle Hurricane Fly (25/1 Stan James) 2pt win
If he runs he’ll either win or not stay, so no each-way for me.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
January 11, 2015 at 23:36 #501187Gold Cup 2015
Sam Winner @33/1
1pt e/w
January 11, 2015 at 23:48 #501189Gold Cup
2 pts win Holywell @ 14/1 (generally)January 12, 2015 at 00:02 #501193Gold Cup
I’m a great Silviniaco Conti fan but I don’t think Cheltenham is his lucky course, expect Dynaste will go the Ryanair route so I’m opting for:
Holywell @ 14/1 Ladbrokes 2 points win
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 12, 2015 at 08:37 #501204Dynaste 2pt win at 16s with Lads/PP or whichever are NRNB. Think he has an outstanding chance here, but fear he may go Ryanair.
January 12, 2015 at 10:22 #501212I don’t believe Holywell can beat Silviniaco Conti – even at Cheltenham – but the latter will probably be bigger on the day whereas Holywell is bound to be shorter and anything can happen between now and then so
Holywell 1pt e/w @ 14 generally
