It was ruined by you forgetting the apostrophe.
You tit
December 22, 2011 at 12:41 #383697Keep digging Ginge.
People vote for who they want to win regardless of any campaign or in the case of last year some people vote or change their vote at the last minute because they want someone to lose as when 3 votes went astray.
A snippet from last year
Ginger wrote
May be Nathan, people did not like being told who to vote for. Once may be funny, twice is fine. But you did go on and on.
May be people thought they could not face someone going on and on about it, if he did win it.

You want it all ways Ginges….

That’s right Nathan, take "a snippet from last year", or to put it another way, words completely out of context to make your point.
My words were replying to this post of yours (and just ask youself whether you are treating this competition as only a "bit of fun").
Nathan Quote:
For or against who I don’t know but I find it interesting to see Gingers votes which was at one stage 4 now down to 2 and poor old Fist now on 0 votes after having 1 previous. Members are entitled to change their vote but is that for the person they want to win or because they don’t want someone else to? “
So Ginge replied (unlike your "snippet", a full) Quote:
May be Nathan, people did not like being told who to vote for. Once may be funny, twice is fine. But you did go on and on.
May be people thought they could not face someone going on and on about it, if he did win it. TAPK is a bit like marmite.I like TAPK, he did deserve it, but so did Bob. And Bob is more modest. Wish it could have been a draw. Am sure TAPK will bounce back.
”
You missed out an important part of my quote Nathan (in bold).

In my opinion Bob deserved it slightly more than Gord last year. Get over it Nathan.
You don’t like "tactics", yet start a thread with the intension of persuading people to vote for Billion.
Hey, you can do what you want, but who’s the hypocrite?Value Is EverythingDecember 22, 2011 at 12:47 #383698It was ruined by you forgetting the apostrophe.

Corm must be wondering whether it is worth bothering with.

Sorry for my part in this childishnes Corm.

Err, I’m named after a chaser who dominated the autumn/winter of 1977, I’m engaged to my girlfriend (I’ve checked), at 9st I’m too small to play rugby and I was "educated" at a "comprehensive".
I’ll forgive these inaccuracies though because that’s the kind of guy I am. Plus I almost feel sorry for you. I mean nobody does gay jokes anymore and I’ve not met anyone on this racing forum who’s so determined to convince all and sundry of his masculinity.
I’d give you a hug so that you would feel safer but you’re kind of a big fella and, you know, I quite like my freedom

You must admit Gord, BH has a point.
Value Is EverythingDecember 22, 2011 at 14:21 #383714Sorry about the miss quotation Ginge, I’ve been taking lessons off politicians they told me to never tell the whole truth just what the voters want to hear……

I never said I didn’t like tactics just found them interesting.
I guess you missed Pompetes thread last year.

Have a close look at his signature for this year aswell.

Just me that gets clamped though.
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 22, 2011 at 16:37 #383728I’ve changed my stance and decided to vote for Irish Stamp as he’s far from useless on this forum and is deserving of at least one vote.

Yeah Gord, admit it!
December 22, 2011 at 17:23 #383731Can’t disagree with that. Wish I had more than one vote. Always pay a lot of attention to what Irish Stamp says, especially in the run up to Cheltenham.

Sorry Nathan, no I hadn’t noticed that thread last year. However, Pompete’s thread consisted of just one post. Saying
why
members should "
consider
" voting for Bob.
Pompete Quote:
Billion certainly deserves nominating in this competion and is as deserving as anyone of winning it. As I said in my posts, Billion does a great job and keeps the Systems section going more or less on his own. A fine trfer.Your thread did say why you thought he is a deserving winner with one line in the first post. It is one thing to nominate someone for this, and tell everyone why, sigs mentioning it are also fine. But it didn’t stop there, with eight posts urging people to vote for Billion. Maybe it is just me, but these posts seemed to have little to do with why people should vote, other than what seemed to be inferred as Billion being a systems man, and Systems men should stick together.
Judge for yourself, here are your posts Nathan:
Post 2: You out of the stalls Bill with 3 votes on day 1, don’t stop now dear chap along way to go, go go go go go Billion…………Post 3: Lets hope darrell is back in time to vote…….
Vexed Gamble, I like it.
I view Billion as a dog in this competition, an underdog yes but also a cross dresser, no, that’s not right. I mean a cross breed of half sheepdog and half rottweiler, first he will round up the opposition and then he’ll eat um……….!!!Post 4: Matron can you reverse the sedation for members of ward 7 and send them down the polling station, please……..
Post 5: That’s the spirit MrE, fantastic post. We’ve got a chance, only a small chance a bit like Matrons ‘special something’ but with a chance we have hope. Ward 7, the down underdog Bill is holding his own joint top so far with 8 votes, poll ends early Friday, we must push on relentless. Bill we need you to bribe the lazy ones in ward 7 to vote for you with promises of a go on your big red boomerang…….
Post 6: For
(Poster of a polling station)
follow the red link below
https://theracingforum.co.uk/horse-r … 60&start=0
Post 7: Even the one’s Billion blinded with his boomerang can see that sign.
Post 8: Bill’s your closest pursuers have nicknamed you the ‘Billion Dollar Man’, which isn’t far from the mark if you land the title as Ward 7 lumped on you to win post election at 500/1………
Admitedly these posts were mostly light hearted. Am not saying this type of thread should be banned, or anything daft like that. Just a little bit of self control.
The point I am trying to make is: It would be sad if nobody could win this title unless they have a campaign manager. And no, I don’t want you to be my campaign manager next year Nathan.

Then again, I don’t have a sense of humour!

Razeen Smith – The 39 year old protagonist of the novel whose rebellion against Big Brother and the Party and love for free speech is completely wiped out by O’Brian at the Ministry of Love.

December 22, 2011 at 22:15 #383781It is an unusual year just gone
and we demand an unusual result
but there is an evil clone about
as 2 votes rip from the ‘een to the ‘ionDecember 23, 2011 at 16:24 #383844The
een
is without doubt
the moral victor amassing a huge nine votes
before the tactical clone moved in.For a man 5 years 7 months dead
he can certainly hold his headhigh
Sadly the mighty kingfisher is under enquiry

they are currently checking his count
for inbreeding with a previous
royal personage. In an even worse position is the
brill centenarian Bill.
All of his votes carry traces
of thorazine an anti psychotic drug
not used since the early fifties.December 23, 2011 at 17:00 #383847I didn’t vote this year. I can’t remember if I just simply forgot or more likely, abstained, in this veritable battle of inflated egos.

Had I been of a mind to do so, my vote would definitely have gone to Cormack – mainly for helping to keep this place afloat, and for having to tolerate the childish flak that is sometimes thrown his way from those who probably don’t know any better, but should do !

Sorry, it’s a bit like closing the stable door once the horse having bolted, there you go !

An honourable mention to Steeplechasing. Knowledgeable chap who thankfully is short on bluster and always strikes me as having something worhtwhile to say.
