I’m absolutely delighted to announce that six Racing Forum members have clubbed together to buy a couple of shares in the Milnathort Racing Club.
So we’re now shareholders in the seven year old OUTLAW TOM, who is trained by Lucinda Russell up at Arlary Stables.
I’m delighted that our first TRF ownership involvement during my time at TRF is with such a successful stable and with such a promising horse (currently rated 115 but plenty hope of more to come).
Many thanks to the lads who’ve got involved in this, I’m sure we’ll have some great days.
I’m going to set up a page on the forum so everyone can join in with us as we experience the ups and downs (hopefully more ups) of our modest involvement in racehorse ownership.
Many thanks to Milnathort Racing Club and Paul Brierley for working out a deal for us which hopefully benefits all.
Outlaw Tom runs on Thursday at Perth so we’re all pretty excited and looking forward to visiting the yard to say hello too.
If anyone else wants to join us we can purchase additional shares – email me at <!– e –>david@theracingforum.co.uk<!– e –> for full details, fantastic opportunity and very affordable.
June 26, 2011 at 23:06 #362659I know the horse well, as he used to be with my trainer Alex Hales in Banbury, and I can tell you he’s a talented animal. Infact so talented, that I advised Christian to buy him at the recent Doncaster sales….but we were outbid!!!! I’d even planned a couple of races for him in Europe that I thought he would go well in! Actually, one of them was the Swedish Grand National at Stromsholm, and Lucinda took Ormello there this year. You never know….!!

I’ll brush up on my Swedish!
June 30, 2011 at 06:42 #362914Good luck guys.I bought my first share in a racehorse back in March,a 3 yr old trained by Gary Moore and I am loving it. I have alway wamted to stand in the paddock and watch a horse walk round in my colours and thank to heart of the South racing and Lightning Spirit I have now achieved my dream.
She has run twice now and finished ninth of sixteen and fifth of nine.
So have lots of fun with your horse and good luck with the Perth race.June 30, 2011 at 12:52 #362957Good luck today, you must have an each way chance. My money is going much lower down the weights. Pipey is striking whilst the iron is hot with
Bold Perk
a bit skinny at 5/2 on the machine, but still the most likely winner.
June 30, 2011 at 17:04 #362993I wasn’t able to make it to Perth this afternoon, but I just caught up with the race replay. Not too bad a run on his first effort for TRF. Possibly paid the penalty for being the only one to seriously chase after a well handicapped opponent. Just didn’t have enough left to hold on to second from the last and was passed by two others to finish fourth.
A reasonable start after Mr Cormack managed to prise a few quid out of me for a small portion of Outlaw Tom.

June 30, 2011 at 18:02 #363002It wasn’t easy (prising the few quid from North’s wallet I mean, not the race) but I got there in the end.
GREAT RUN today from Outlaw Tom.
I think Rob is right, we were there to win and the only way to beat the winner was to go with him but Bold Perk clearly a step or three ahead of the handicapper and none the worse for his exertions yesterday. That left us a little vulnerable to the chasing pack.
But The Outlaw kept on extremely well and just got run out of a place on the run-in (while still staying on).
It was highly encouraging run (off jt. top weight), and we won’t run into one as well-handicapped every time, so onwards and upwards with hopes high.
If you’re interested in joining us in Outlaw Tom at a very affordable cost please get in touch.
June 30, 2011 at 19:39 #363023I thought that it was a really promising effort guys.
I wish you every success with him. Good luck for the futureJune 30, 2011 at 20:08 #363025You can see more of Outlaw Tom on the Milnathort Racing Club website –
