    Porridge for breakfast; filling, nutricious and, best of all, cheap. Only takes a minute in the microwave. Keeps you going for hours. Have honey with it and a dollop of bio yoghourt. Know what you mean about the pasties, though. If I work later than expected the post office nearby sells chicken tikka wraps that call to me. Absolute garbage they are but curiously satisfying.

    Weighed myself properly this morning – 110.4kg.

    Say my target weight is 80kg, and I lose a kg per week, I should be okay by the time of the Stewards’ Cup.

    I can see the point that Ostermeyer is making on another thread, as I’m having to have leftover Christmas dinner for breakfast, and pancakes for lunch as I made too much Yorkshire pudding batter yesterday. Also have nearly two loaves, which is one more than necessary. Also have nine cans of lager left, but there is no hurry to drink those.

    I’ll go on a cycle ride after the Morning Line, and I’ll go for a brisk walk this evening.
