Hello again and thanks to all those who entered the second running of this competition. Hopefully the competition will again come down to the wire this year as it did last season.
I’d like to thank those who have donated towards the prizes (Cavelino Rampante, Grasshopper, Drone, Perpetual, & underscore). I’ll sort out the split of the prizes with cormack15 at a later date but we should be able to give a prize to each Sectional winner which is fantastic as it provides an interest for newcomers as well as those who have a bad run in any one section.
Anyway on to the results
Well done to Danny & Anzum who both selected Knowhere win-only to kick-off the campaign with 16pts while Perpetual scored 11pts, again thanks to Knowhere but each-way.
Danny also opened up the Gr1 compettion with a big winner (HTN in the 2000 Guineas) – however he faded like a 2-miler running in the National so hopefully he has been working on his stamina over the summer. Otherwise he might have to be gelded!

Tough little race this week with 3 of the 5 horses going off shorter than 3/1. The eventual winner, Chomba Womba, was popular enough though with 4 of the 18 entrants backing her win only and picking up 5.50pts in the process. Well done to aaronizneez, Andybeax, Drone, & paulostermeyer, while Perpetual picked up 3.44 points by selecting her each-way.

An excellent weekend’s racing behind us there. Surprisingly given that 3 fancied runners won all 3 races, nobody had 2 winners so no big gains on the weekend.
Top score this week of 10pts goes to nefertiti who gave the Saturday a miss and selected Numide in the Greatwood Hcp Hdl. 2nd was wakeman with 8pts who also selected Numide but had a loser in the Servo Computers Hcp Ch, while 3rd goes Pat123 who again had Numide to go with his 2 losers on the Saturday.

3 more races down and no speculative bets on Snoopy Loopy combined with 2 short-priced winners means that no big scores were put up over the weekend.
Andybeax however again shows a profit on the weekend and joint-tops the scoring with doubletrouble, both of whom selected Chomba Womba, Kauto Star, & My Petra. A number of other entrants scored 2 points, again with Chomba Womba to go with one loser.
