    Pendil, Istabraq, Captain Christy, Kauto Star. Pendil comfortably beat Tingle Creek over 2 miles, remember; think it was at Sandown.

    Don’t mean to keep beating the drum, but Pendil was far superior to Tingle Creek. Won 2 King Georges, an Arkle, a Massey-Ferguson with top-weight, and should have one at least one Gold cup despite being better at 2 miles. I can’t swear to this, and I haven’t yet looked for a record, but I think I remember him beating Tingle Creek over 2 miles at Sandown.
