I’ve backed Mark Johnston’s Heavy Metal before on the July Course at Newmarket as a 2yo when he made all, so thought 25/1 was a generous price but my first choice Nocturn won it.

However I don’t think Ginger had that kind of problem and by his track record I expect him to make late headway.

I noticed that, Nathan. After pushing for the summer competition he’s now trying for an Ante Post one. Response was luke warm by some and others want a cash prize.
Did consider entering his Ante Post one, but apart from the Grand National and Cheltenham I really don’t do Ante Post, I’ve trouble picking winners on the day.

Had half of this week’s done, but I see Red Rum has beaten me to it. Thought I was doing TRF a favour by getting the format together for a new Ante-Post competition. It was important to get it done in time to start a full week before Royal Ascot… so unfortunately something had to give. You yourself wanted me to hurry up on that one Nathan. I can only apologise and thank Red Rum for helping out. It took a little longer than I had wished.
Been saying for a while now that ANYONE can start a thread for the weekend racing. So don’t wait for me!
