Really looking forward to seeing Stattler today. Thinks he’s a genuine Gold Cup contender, and I’d be surprised if he’s beaten here.
Got to give eight pounds to Minella Indo, but I’d be surprised if he can’t do that. Of more concern to me is my National bet on him. Winning this today won’t improve his chances for Aintree, but I’ll take that on the chin, and I’ve added him to my Gold Cup bets anyway. Certainly not betting him today.
The other horse who interests me today is Roi Mage, and I could see him coming into the picture for Aintree.
No bet then, but certainly Stattler for me
I wanted a bit more of a price for Stattler.

With three of five runners and name on the trophy umpteen times should be run to suit champion trainer but do any of his get the trip?
Questions also about minella Indo.When he fiddled the last and Stattler got a good jump I thought it was all over, great to see a horse get back up like that.
I was also relieved to see El Barra get up- off the ground after his fall. He has bled on various occasions and I fear not loving it even though he jumped ok till the fall.
Great to see Indo get his head in front again and great for Henry and connections also.
I took some of the 7/4 this morning , was worried in runn ing as Rachel had a couple of niggles at him , great to see him fight and get back up , getting 8lbs he should have been winning , if was needing the run and needed a year to get over the GC win them he may run well again , as for Stattler , he’s more a GN than GC horse for me , he,s missing a gear
