    Week 6 Update

Well I said the Long walk hurdle would be a cracker and it didn’t disappoint. It was hats up in the air for Thiago Thiago Alcantara, Inthestream, The Fab Few 2, No Hopers and Middle Of March with Paisley Park, whereas it was a case of so near and yet so far with Thyme Hill for FF91, Barrow Raiders and Waterloo Street Stables.

FF91, despite being pipped late on in the Long Walk and having to settle for 1.10
points, managed to hang on to top spot, but the pack are closing on his heels.
Barrow Raiders with the same Thyme Hill, and Amberwood Amblers, who’s stable
posted AWOL this week, keep their same positions in 2nd and 3rd.

Thiago Thiago Alcantara, courtesy of that win with Paisley park and 29.00 points
keeps his recent momentum going and moves into 4th. Well done Nathan, you’ve
got 1 hand on that podium :good:

Middle Of March not only managed the top points score of the week, with 43.22
points, he also shared the biggest move up the league ladder with a mighty bound
from 13th place to 5th. Paisley Park was the main reason but the icing on the
cake was the impressive Sir Gerhard who continued his winning ways at Navan
on Saturday in very convincing fashion. Great week MOM :yahoo:

The other big mover, matching MOM’s 8 places, from 15th to 8th, was Inthestream.
Once again it was PP that was responsible for Inthestream’s surge up the ladder.
This league is tight enough that 1 good result can bring about major changes.
    very nicely done Inthestream :good:

Other good movers, with 29.00 points a piece courtesy of PP were The Fab Few 2,
from 17th place to 12 and No Hopers#1 up 5 places to 13. Well done guys :good:

A busy weekend with Plenty of Stable Entries running. Quilixios, Blackbow, Darver
    Star and Envoi Allen
all run at Leopardstown on Saurday, whilst Kempton hosts
the Kauto Strar Novice Chase with Enrilo, If The Cap Fits and The
    Big Breakaway
. The Christmas Hurdle gives Epatante the chance
to show that he’s nigh on invincible. He won’t have it his own way wth the likes
of Goshen, Sceau Royal and Silver Streak in the line up.

The big one, the King George VI, as you would expect has a host of expectant
Stables looking for those bonus points. Clan Des Obeau, Cyrname, Frodon, Lostintranslation, Saint Calvados and Santini all look set to take their
place. Personally I think that my stable hopeful, Saint Calvados, is a forgotten
horse in this. He doesn’t have the reputation of some in here, but he ran Min *
to a neck last time out in the Ryanair and that’s pretty decent form. I think he’s
    well overpriced at 33/1.
(*correction, I made a blunder and had Santini when it was Min that Saint Calvados
ran to a neck in the Ryanair  )

A pile of points up for grabs at Leopardstown on Sunday with all of these in various
stables. Chacun Pour Soi, Min, Put The Kettle On, Ballyadam, and Appreciate It.

That’s about it, good luck for this week and stay safe :good:

    Week 7 Update

Some great racing this week and the Cheltenham picture seems to be getting
a little clearer in some quarters. Anyone who jumped on the early odds for
Appreciate It for the Supreme must be rubbing their hands with him now sitting
as low as 5/2 fav (12/1 before the race). I’d guess Barrow Raiders
will be sitting quietly smug with the Festival in mind as he eventually managed
to topple FF91 from that top spot that he’s held since week 3. Barrow ran up a
cracking double with Appreciate it who just found another gear after the last at Leopardstown on Sunday and Chacun Pour Soi on the same card who ground his rivals into the dirt with a superb front running performance.
The Storyteller couldn’t quite make it the treble on Monday at
Leopardstown in the Christmas hurdle, but the 2.8 Points was valuable nonetheless
tallying up a score of 58.72 Points. Top spot, and a very strong looking stable
for the rest of the competition :yahoo:

It could have been different for FF91, who also had Appreciate It,
28.60 Points, but alas the banker of the day turned out not to be the banker
of the day with Epatante, 1.20 Points, not so much losing but getting
well beat by the impressive Silver Streak in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton
on Boxing Day. I wouldn’t be giving up on Epatante just yet FF and on a match
between the 2 I’d still have Epatante odds on to win next time. He’s still the
solid fav for the Champion Hurdle and barely drifted out by a point in the
    betting for his defeat.

The story of the week has to be the King George winner Frodon who has
the heart of a Lion, assisted by the indomitable Bryony Frost, the 2 together
is simply a match made in heaven. An incredible 74.50 points, and along with Shishkin, 21.10 Points, who found little resistance from his 3 rivals
in the Wayward Lad at Kempton on Sunday and Epatante, it catapulted Midnight
7 places up the league to 3rd spot. Great week for you Midnight and what an
inspired choice Froden has turned out to be. That could be crucial come the
festival, holding that extra ace in your hand. Superb stuff Midnight, top
    scorer with 96.62 Points :yahoo:

Amberwood Amblers may have been demoted from the podium by Midnight, but
did little wrong with wins from Charcun Pour Soi and shishkin and Epatante in the runners up
spot for a very decent 49.44 Points.

A host of stables also benefited the 21.10 Points courtesy of Shishkin
including Thiago Thiago Alcantara, Middle Of March, Summerleaze, Bourne Losers,
Man Superstars, Off The Bridle, Bachelors Hall and Dark Angels, whilst Middle Of
March and The Fab Few 2 also had Appreciate it, 28,60 Points.

A mention has to be made for No Hopers, who had the very brave Castlebawn West who carried top weight to a superb front running win in the Paddy Power
Chase at Leopardstown. That 20.80 Points was much needed holding that 13th
spot, with little more that 7 points separating 4 places 13 to 16. Well done
No Hopers, he could be headed to the Grand National or the Irish version after
that, they are certainly not beyond him :good:

Monkfish should hopefully keep a few happy in here today, he looks
like he should be up to taking the Neville Hotels Novice Chase at Leopardstown
today and the Matheson Hurdle looks like a hot race with Saint Roi
hoping he can turn the tables on Abacadabra after their duel in the
Morgiana. There’s no guarantee they will be getting it between them
with the likes of Aspire Tower and Sharjah ready to
    spoil the party.

Looking forward to seeing Al Boum Photo in the Savills Chase at Tramore
on New Year’s Day, and hoping that McFabulous can get back to winning
ways in the Relkeel at Cheltenham.

That’s about it for this week, I hope all had a good Christmas and here’s hoping
for a good, and safe, New Year :good:

    Cheers BigG.

With my 2 Tingle Creek horses not running, and then my 2 Savills Chase horses not completing, I don’t fancy my chances too much now.

    Week 8 Update

You just can’t keep a good man down. FF91 who was ousted from the top spot
last week, has clawed his way back to the top. It was a fairly popular choice
that got him back there as Monkfish held on gamely to fend off Latest
Exhibition in the Neville Hotels Nov Ch at Leopardstown last Tuesday. The 27.32
Points was enough to shift Barrow Raiders, who had a blank week, back down to
2nd place. Well done for getting back up there FF, I think you’ve got a real
live chance of having the RSA winner at the Festival :good: :good:

Third and fourth places remain unaltered with both Midnight and Amberwood
    Ramblers also drawing a blank’

Nathan (Thiago Thiago Alcantara) stays in 5th spot, but was one of the few
who had Monkfish in his stable. Like I said to FF Nathan, I reckon
you have a live hope in the RSA with him. Best of luck :good:

Some of you eagle eyed aficionados may have noticed we have another another
stable in our midst. Michael Welsh (if it’s the same Michael who’s been with
us, and a regular competitor on TRF) has jumped straight in in 6th position.
A tad late Michael, but good to see you nonetheless. Good luck with your stable,
but in fairness to the rest of the league I have to point out a provision that
was made before the start of the competition, and clarified after the off ……..
I should also add that the 20 that are now entered are the only ones
eligible for the TRF competition prizes, and as previously stated they have
to be registered as members of THERACINGFORUM before 11am on Saturday
    14/11/2020.

No problems being in the league for a bit of fun Michael, you’re very welcome
and best of luck in the competition, but I have to stick by the rules for the
    TRF League.

Summerleaze stays in 7th, but will no doubt be over the moon with the running
of Al Boum Photo, who had Acapella Bourgeois with him for company until approacing the last where ABP simply shifted into top gear and won very easily
going away. He looked superb and surely will go off a short priced favourite for
the Gold Cup, best priced 9/2 at the minute, once the money comes for him nearer
Festival time. How on earth did the rest of us desert him  Great pick
Summerleaze, he’s going to get you plenty valuable points :good:

As I mentined above, Monkfish had his followers, and Man Superstars, The
Fab Few and Wildcats were among those, well done guys. However, the
runaway points leader this week was Wildcats, who added to their Monkfish
win with another couple of crackers. Concertista was an impressive
winner at Leopardstown on Tuesday and she looks like she could be bound
for the Mares Hurdle. There’s no stopping the Willie Mullins juggernaut,
and Stattler was another Leopardstown winner who looked top class
when he wore down the Mullin’s second string with the pair well clear. A
superb treble Wildcats, 58.22 Points and top scorer of the week :yahoo:

Neil’s Horses for courses was another who picked up the 17.70 Points for the
impressive Concertista and although Aspire Tower was beaten into 2nd at Leopardstown, it was no disgrace behind the rejuvenated Sharjah
who looks a proper contender in the Champion Hurdle.

There’s a bit of stable interest at the weekend with the likes of the Relkeel
at Kempton. McFabulous gets the chance to restore some pride and a few
of us are hoping that he can. At least he wont have a Thyme Park or Paisley Park
to contend with this time. In the Silviniaco Conti Chase Imperial Aura and Mister Fisher will hope to boost their chances for the Ryanair.

Slate House ran no kind of race in the Paddy Power and as I’ve got him in my stable I’m hoping he can redeem himself at Wincanton. Quilixious comes over from the Gordon Elliot stable to keep his unbeaten run going at Chepstow
and I don’t think the heavy ground will inconvenience him.

The rearranged Welsh Grand National is always a competitive affair, and although
I’m pretty sure that no stable horses appear, I’m hoping Dominateur can earn me
    a few quid at 16/1 (Bet365).

There is however some interest in the Lawlor’s Of Naas Nov Hurdle on Sunday, it
remains to be seen how much it cuts up, but at this stage quite a few major stable
players are involved. Appreciate It has been a revelation this year whilst
Ballyadam folded tamely behind him last time. Farouk D’alene, a winner last time out is another stable entry.

That’s about it for this week, I hope some of us can pick up a few points. The
    very best of luck :good:

    Week 9 Update

Well the update this week is going to be about as short as a Scottish summer.
Only 2 horses from 21 stables manged to gain points, and only one of those 2
    won.

So 5 of us, Amberwood Amblers, Bourne Losers, Neil’s Horses For Courses, Off
The Bridle and Dark Angels, finally saw McFabulous come good in the
Relkeel at Kempton on Saturday. You can get 25/1 for him in the Stayers Hurdle
at Cheltenham, but I wouldn’t be taking any odds on him for that unless NRNB as
both Harry Cobden and Nicholls state the more likely target is Aintree.

So it’s a 5 way tie for highest scorer this week, and we can all pat each other
    on the back

So very little in the way of significant moves this week, FF91 remains top and
Barrow Raiders remain in 2nd place. Amberwood Amnblers move up 1 to 3rd place
with Midnight dropping down by the same amount. Bourne Losers up from 11th to
7th, Neil’s Horses For Courses up 3 places to 9th, Off The Bridle up 1 to 13th
and Dark Angels up 4 to 14th, all courtesy of McFabulous.

The only other scorer this week was No Hopers who had the kim Bailey trained
Two For Gold. He ran a decent race in 3rd behind Double Shuffle and was closing after the last without ever going to get up. Kim Bailey’s stable has
gone quiet recently but it was a promising run No Hopers, and I reckon he’ll
bag you more points than the 1.70 he did before long :good:

The week ahead looks equally quiet, and unless I’ve missed any I don’t think
there are any stable horses running this week.

    Week 10 update

When I said last week I didn’t think any stable horses would have been
running during last week, I missed that Envoi Allen was running
yesterday at Fairyhouse. He was always the likliest winner, but things
were made a lot easier when the only real challenger, Asteria Forlonge
came down at the 1st. He coasted home and so did 12 stables in the league.
With the previous league leader, FF91, and number 2, Barrow Raiders drawing
a blank it opened the way for Amberwood Amblers to continue their upward
surge and for the 1st time to take the top spot. Great stuff Amberwood,
now all you have to do is stay there :good:

Also on the move courtesy of Envoy Allen was Man Superstars up 2 places to
8th, Middle Of March up 2 to 9th and Waterloo Road Stables, Bachelors Hall
and Inthestream all up 1 place to 15th, 17th, and 18th respectively. Those
that were grateful that they also selected Envoy Allen were Midnight, Thiago
Thiago Alcantara, Michael Walsh, Bourne Losers, Off The Bridle and 10 to
Follow benefited from the points but maintained their previous positions.

The only other scorer on a pretty quiet week was Wildcats, who although
needing to make a bit of ground, is the only one to have a very nice prospect
in the shape of Energumene who ran out a very easy winner last Wednesday
at Naas and along with Allmankind look the main challengers to Shishkin for the
Arkle. For all that you’ve got a way to go Wildcats, your stable is full of
realistic prospects for Cheltenham. Well done and best of luck :good:

Two cracking races at the weekend with stable interest. The Clarence House Chase
at Ascot on Saturday has Politologue, Waiting Patiently and
Defi De Seuil facing off, and although Politologue looks as good as
when winning the QMCC last year, I wouldn’t like to seperate these 3. The other
top notcher is the Unibet Hurdle at Haydock which sees the king Buveur D’Air and the young pretender Song For Someone take each other
on. Buveur D’Air is favourite in the betting, but I’m not sure I’d go along with
that. SFS maybe only just edged out Silver Streak at Cheltenham, but Silver Streak’s subsequent drubbing of Epatante in the Christmas Hutrdle at Kempton makes that
performance look more than solid. Barrow Raiders will be keen to regain

    Week 11 Update

Well with Politologue, Waiting Patiently Defi Du Seuil and Buveur
D’Air all failing to make a mark, it’s left a complete stalemate with
no points awarded to any stable and consequently no change in the League
    standings.

Hopefully things will be a bit different after this weekend with several
big guns on display at Cheltenham and Doncaster. The undoubted star at
Donny is Shishkin and it would be a major shock if he were to get
beat. I think he’s the most supported horse in our league with 11 stables
and surely this is no more than a penalty kick. Having said that surely
Buveur D’Air was thought of in the same way in a 3 horse race.

At Cheltenham there is a lot of stable interest with Paisley Park
the next best supported in the Cleeve Hurdle with 5 stables hoping he can
step up like last time in the Long Walk at Ascot. I’m still waiting for
Itchy Feet to get his head in front this season. I thought
it was a bad show when he was beaten by Dashel Drasher at Ascot in December,
but that one bolted up next time out at Ascot on Saturday. That makes the
form of IF look a little better and I could do with a few points, seeing as
m the only 1 on him. Others that have a further following are Al Dancer
    and
Time Flies By for Bourne Losers, and Bristol Du Mai for Neil’s Horses for Courses.

Best of luck this week :good:

    Hi BigG,

Thanks for having me folks, I didn’t spot the league until a few weeks ago, would have joined from start had I known! Happy just to be involved for the fun of it as it’s only fair as per rules.

Best of luck to everyone with their entries and hope all are keeping safe in these times :good:

Cheers Michael and thanks for that. It’s just a pity you spotted
this one a bit late, but it’s good to have you with us for the fun
of the league. Your stable is doing well, best of luck :good:

I’m sifting through the stables at the moment, I’ll have the full
    update in a bit.

    Week 12 Update

Well after the disappointment of Cheltenham being scuppered at the weekend
we were at least lucky to see Shishkin doing little more than a stroll at
Doncaster. Anyone who got on early for the Triumph at the Festival must be
    rubbing their hands.

Not surprisingly more than half the stables had Shishkin and as it would be
easier to list who didn’t have him I’ll simply say well done to you, you know
    who you are :good:

Aberwood Ramblers, one of those with Shishkin, maintained their lead at the top,
whilst FF91 and Barrow Raiders, 2 of those without, made way for Midnight and
Thiago Thiago Alcantare to take over in 2nd and 3rd spot respectively. Very well
done guys it’s getting tight at the top with only 30 points separating the top
    5

The only other sizeable points came from Alloha who won well at Thurles
on Wednesday and nabbed 22.62 points for The Fab Few and Wildcards. She looks
to be Ryanair bound and has a serious shout. She won on the run in, quite easily,
but was closed down going to the last by Elimay who probably would have appreciated a stronger pace. I wouldn’t give up on her yet Green’s Wildcards, she
looks decent in her own right.

Hopefully Leopardstown and Sandown will go ahead at the weekend, there are some
serious horses out on display. Song For Someone who has been a revelation this year will have plenty to do if Goshen lines up alongside. Others from the
stables include Envoi Allen and Andy Dufresne who both
have entries at Leopardstown on Saturday and Sunday. Blackbow is another with a Saturday entry whilst Sunday treats us to Monkfish in the Floggas Nov Chase, whilst the Dublin Chase has Chacun Pour Soi and Min squaring up.

So a great weekend of racing in prospect, the very best of luck to all with
    their stable entries.

    Week 13 Update

A terrific couple of days at Leopardstown and some have grasped the chance
with both hands to stake a claim in the competition. None more so the FF91
who had a fantastic foursome that elevated them from 5th spot right to
the top of the table. That foursome was made up of possibly the star of
the year, Honeysuckle who was hugely impressive winning
the Irish champion hurdle on saturday at Leopardstown. Appreciate It wouldn’t
be far behind on the Star scale and simply moved out of 3rd gear after
the last for a comfortable win on Sunday. Monkfish was another who
has that overdrive when required, and although he was momentarily stoked
up he won going away after the last. The last of FF’s foursome was Ballyadam who is such a genuine horse and lost nothing by going
    down to Appreciate It.

Top of the league and highest scorer of the week with 109.26 Points, absolutely
brilliant week FF, very well done :yahoo:

The fight for top space couldn’t be closer, Amberwood Ramblers may
have been hoisted from his perch, but with the 2nd highest score of the
week, 81.54 Points, courtesy of Honeysuckle and Andy Dufresne, 3rd behind Monkfish on the Sunday, and the Chacun Pour Soi who didn’t have to break sweat to win the Dublin Chase at Leopardstown
on Saturday. The margin between 1st and 2nd is 00,08 Points. Superb week for
you too Amberwood, I wonder what odds for a dead heat

Many of the stables have Monkfish, Honeysuckle, Appreciate it and Chacun Poir
Soi, just not quite in the combinations of FF91, so many good scores this week.

A mention needs to be made of the highest climbers in the league this week,
and it’s hats off to Wildcats with 72.34 Points and a jump of 6 places
from 13th to 7th place. Equally Bachelors Hall with 79.94 Points
managed to get himself into the top half of the league with a jump from
16th to 10th. Very well done guys :good:

A special note for Green’s Wildcards , who has been holding the league
up on their shoulders for a while, but it takes a bit of guts to pick
an alternative stable to the obvious big boys (and girls). It can sometimes
pay off but so far the “monsters” are still monstrous. A few points of relief
with Blackwood having the unenviable task of taking on Energumene
in the Irish Arkle novice chase on Saturday, but ran a stout race in 3rd
place, of which I’m pretty chuffed as I had him E/W at 40/1. Best of luck
for the rest of the competition Green :good:

Some decent points will be on offer this weekend and if they stand their
ground Champ, Clan Des Obeaux, Lost In Translation and The Conditional
will all be of interest to various stables in the Denman Chase at Newbury.

The Game Spirit Chase, or whatever they call it now, hopefully will see
the return of the Altior of old. With Greanetean and Sceau Royal possibly
in the line up, he won’t get it all his own way.

If Allmankind is to be a serious threat in the Arkle, he’d really need
to win in the Kingmaker Chase at Warwick on Saturday. I hope he does as
I’ve got a bit of ante post interest in him.

Good luck everyone this week. Here are the scores as per the TTTF site :good:

Thanks for all the great updates Graham and all the time and effort you put into this. :good:

Do you know if there will be a transfer window in this competition, I can’t seem to find any info about one.

Hello Jac: I did not have the chance to make an entry in this seasons competition, but it is fair to say that
having been involved since the days of the Pacemaker competition now many years ago I still have a great interest
    in the results.

There is a five-day transfer window planned between March 10th and March 14th where all stables are allowed to
    make up to two substitutions.

This should enable you to make changes in time for the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival, so make them count.

    All the best

    John

Thank you John that is very good news for my struggling Stables at the moment..will keep an eye out for notifications from TTTF and freshen up the yard. :good:

Sure you’ll be back in the competition next season John and of course we should have the flat version to come after this..my favourite.

Good luck with your Godolphin choices next week and thank you for answering my question.

Thanks for that John, I was going to stick in a reminder a bit nearer
the time but it gives people time to work out what they are going to do.
It’s a pity you missed the start of this one, I know you’re a firm
supporter of the competitions. See you in the next one mate :good:
