RIVER ALHAARTH.
August 23, 2006 at 10:48 #75755I’m not in the best of form lately, but Elusive Dream has a lot of positives in my estimation. Should have no trouble if it’s a bit of a slog up the straight – perhaps vulnerable to anything that can quicken around the 2f mark. That might be difficult if it gets too soft.

August 23, 2006 at 11:36 #75757So too should River Alhaarth, who has quickly made into a fairly useful staying handicapper this season and ran another good race here, being outpaced three furlongs out but keeping on really well to take second place close home. He has tended to run similar races previously this term, hitting something of a flat spot, and may not be that easy to win with but is open to further improvement after just seven races in his career to date.
The jockey. C Soumillon. this mans timing is just the best.
Imo, Greenwich Meantime should reverse placings with River Alaarth over this shorter trip, and has an excellent chance of carrying of the prize.
August 23, 2006 at 13:53 #75759I agree with you about Grenich Meantime but I really think Foxhaven has an outstandint chance in this.
