What is Hitman doing in this race? He likes the Mildmay course, but he didn’t show any enthusiasm in last year’s GN.

I’ve backed Hitman Ruby. I thought he jumped ok in the GN last year , just doesn’t stay 2 laps. Added Viroflay as well.
    Both ew 6pl.

Hitman hit about 5-6 fences today and that’s quite a feat if you consider how soft they are nowadays. To make things worse he came down four out. I think he was brought down when struggling in mid-division.

Poor from Townend at the finish. He went for a gap that was never there.

I thought he jumped well till he made the bad mistake that knocked the stuffing out of him. He was tracking the leaders for quite a while and was very neat round the Canal Turn saving a few lengths.

Yes, green. He was fine until the Canal Turn. The he walked into Valentine’s which is supposed to be a brook and kept on with his low and tired jumping until he came down three or four out. But still a long way from home.
I guess he is okay though.

Been watching some of the Aintree meeting again tonight, and Hitman looked to jump pretty well to me apart from a mistake four out.

He came down two out where he jumped the fence fine, but then had a coming together with Coming Up Easy and tripped after the fence. The fall was not due to bad jumping on his part. Thank goodness he got up as it was a very ugly incident.
