Apparently it was only a 62.5% infraction. Down to 5 from 8….
This explanation makes no sense:
“the disciplinary panel said the lack of any clear intent from Soumillon to ride in a way to aid a stablemate was the key factor in reducing the ban”
Did they miss the part where just before the home bend we see Christophe look over his shoulder to see where Ryan is before going left hand down on the crown of the bend leaving a gap big enough on his inside for a double decker bus to go through let alone a horse whilst at the same time carrying the rest of the field out into the middle of the course?????
That manoeuvre was the clearest of clear intent without a shadow of a doubt……..nonsense decision to reduce the ban.
