January 14, 2013 at 17:40 #426293John Smiths do a 2-4-1 offer at many courses, most of the offer days are during the week but fine for you.
Apart from that google around, different courses often have local offers for quiet days. For example, wolverhampton is free all january.
January 31, 2013 at 20:31 #428078thanks, aji, for taking the time to reply. i am very disappointed in the rest of you forumites, i thought a bit of communication and help would be of interest to other racegoers
January 31, 2013 at 20:47 #428080It’s sometimes worth doing a bit of Googling for ‘racing ticket offers’ or ‘free racing tickets’. I know meetings sponsored by John Smith’s are sometimes the subject of free ticket offers. They have given away free tickets to Musselburgh before, but doesn’t seem anything for this Sunday.
The Daily Mirror did an offer of 100 free tickets for Musselburgh on New Year’s day and I managed to get one even though I booked a couple of days after the offer was advertised. Of course with newspaper offers it’s a question of being in the right place at the right time, but keep your eyes open.
Handy link might be this one, though I haven’t checked it in any detail:

I just searched on ‘free horse racing tickets’.
Brighton’s meeting on 25 April is free if registered in advance
