    Mixed bag on the antepost action from my 3. Acapella, got the 14s after owner confirmed it. Now a nice fav.
    Smoking Gun, missed the 14s available from first post and haven’t acted since then. Will probably take the 8/1s.
    Castlebrook is out, so dodged an antepost loss.

    Happy enough with the two. Probably won’t add another. Think Chef Des Obeaux probably wants even softer again? Has room off his mark though.

    Probably a no bet race as it’s a minefield, but Dounikos looks big enough having dropped a few pounds.

    I’ve completely missed the boat with the prices on my early fancies, but I will stand by Acapella Bourgeois and Minella Fair. Minella Fair is still a tempting ew price, but I’ll settle for the win.

    I go to take a bit of gamble with General Principle at 50/1 EW. His formm figures are horrendous, but he got excuses for some of them. In the meantime his mark has dropped significantly, below his mark when winning the Irish Grand National. Ground and trip should’t be an issue. If he is anywhere near his best level, he should be in the mix.

    I ended up swerving General Principle in the end. What did you think? I thought it was a lot better, and definitely worth keeping him inside before the seasons over.

    Yes, he got some sloppy jumps in the middle of the race and lost his place a bit, but on this mark (might even be lower next time) he should be in the mix next time.
