Not to be yesterday for me, but it was fun in the build up. In reality, he should never have been the favourite. I only went with him after the thread on here which was sadly deleted, the one where people were putting up special bets, and there was a guy on there saying the Mullins favs would not be going. I had a go but I suppose if you had said to Me preseason I would have bet Yanworth for the champion I would have laughed. That is my punishment for guessing as that is just what I did with Yanworth

Alpha DES Obeaux today to win today at 6-1
March 17, 2017 at 14:08 #1293056I have had a losing week for sure, but I would not swap this week for anything.
The normal stake for me and these will all be wins.
Ivanovitch Gorbatov 11-1
Outlander 10-1
Sizing John 10-1I am sorry for posting when the prices have shortened
March 25, 2017 at 14:36 #1294113I will have to do a total soon and will get round to it before The Grand National meeting
2 bets today
Theatre Territory at 14-1 each way, and Big River at 4-1 win
March 28, 2017 at 22:59 #1294454Go Conquer at 12-1 for The Topham, and it will be each way.
March 28, 2017 at 23:41 #1294467Both of these selections are NRNB
Irish grand national, Abolitionist at 14-1, and Fletchers Fly at 16-1, Both bets each way
April 2, 2017 at 14:18 #1295040I am going to have 2 rare Sunday bets.
At Fairyhouse it will Devils Bride each way at 14-1.
Also each way at Ascot will be Forgotten Gold at 12-1
In The The Topham I have went with Mr Diablo each way at 33-1
April 7, 2017 at 14:41 #1295761It has only taken me a few months but have finally got around to a running total.
In total £600 bet so far, with the following returns
Minella Daddy £48.75
Blaklion £67.50
Sizing John £330
Big River £150
Forgotten Gold £60In Play
Topham – Go Conquer 12-1 each way
Topham – Mr Diablo 33-1 each way
Irish National – Abolitionist 14-1 each way NRNB
Irish National – Fletchers Flyer 16-1 each way NRNBCurrent Total £56.25 in profit
Happy to be ahead in this, as it is real pressure.
April 7, 2017 at 15:24 #1295771Well played Lemons, some nice hits there, and I like your “in play” runners, so there might just be more to come for you.
Hopefully the fact you’ve had more than a few hits, should take just a bit of that pressure of, but to be honest it never goes away on these kind of threads lol
April 19, 2017 at 19:10 #1297402Thanks Vtc
One return for me and that is Abolitionist in The Irish Grand National, and that takes me to a profit of £74.75.
I will add these four
Scottish Grand National – Henri Parry Morgan at 33-1
Scottish Champion Hurdle – Zubayr, he was my first selection on here and I am giving him another chance at 20-1
Bet365 Cup – Vyta Du Roc at 25-1, and Perfect Candidate at 33-1. I would want to be with Blaklion here but I don’t know if he is going to run?
All of these selections are each way
That will give me a deficit of 45.25
April 20, 2017 at 19:05 #1297543I have added Peace and Co to the Scottish Champion Hurdle bet I have already, and I have went each way at 10-1. Jeremiah McGrath is down to ride but I still don’t think that is a guarantee he will line up, but I am hopeful he does. I worry a little that he has been pulled from a few targets recently
Total is minus £75.25
April 26, 2017 at 14:08 #1298377It could not have been closer for Zubayr, and he would have been a nice winner for me.
One last bet for me this season and I will replace Perfect Candidate with Just A Par to win at 10-1
That will leave me with a deficit of £15.25, so I’m hoping for a Just A Par win and Vyta Du Roc to win or place.
It has been hard work this, so should I go out minus fifteen quid, I will not be upset.
May 1, 2017 at 12:34 #1299086After reading this forum from afar the last 3 or 4 years I am really glad that I took the plunge. I didn’t have any illusions as to the pressure of putting my own selections up here, but it was harder than I thought that it would be.
I am really happy though to finish on a profit, and if I am being realistic it is an accurate reflection of most seasons for me. I always escape with a profit, but spectacular returns are few and far between.
For the second weekend in a row it was a tale of what might have been, with Vyta Du Roc going as close as Zubayr did. My final figure could have been significantly bigger, but happy with a profit

Vyta Du Roc kept me ahead to the tune of £93.50 for the season.
Enjoyed it guys and hope to be, no I will be,back next season.
May 2, 2017 at 00:25 #1299161Bloody hell Lemons, 2 weekends in a row, so close.
Well done on finishing ahead for the year
August 1, 2017 at 00:01 #1312137Belated thanks again Vtc
I am back for more though the Galway jumpers are the only races I look at before The Kerry National or the October Chepstow meeting.
He is not that price now but I will put up Slowmotion for The Galway Playe st 20-1. I know you are supposed to mention prices at the time you post the bet, but I hope this is acceptable. I have also bet Arbe De Vrie, but I am not including him on the thread, as I will be adding another in that race.
Slowmotion each way at 20-1
I will keep keep on top of my total this time around as well so that will be me minus £30
August 1, 2017 at 09:21 #1312165Welcome back Lemons, and good luck with Slowmotion, you did well to nab that 20’s. He looks very much like the one I’ll be adding to my pair, so you’ve got that burden now lol
August 2, 2017 at 17:00 #1312516Thanks Vtc but the bad news is I am following you in with A Toi Phil, 12-1 with 5 places each way.”
August 3, 2017 at 15:53 #13126512 returns from yesterday, but I will total up after Tge Galway Hurdle.
With 6 places on offer I have went with Court Minstrel 28-1, and Project Bluebook at 14-1.
