I think some of us are going to miss his tips and insights, as well as his good-natured banter.

……and it would be interesting to see if he was going ahead with having a go at being a pro punter which he mentioned in one of the threads.

So how are you doing, are you in profit?

The Weather is affecting Racing too much at the moment Shearer, the form is unsettling.Cheltenham is only round the corner and things need to have stabilised by then or else it could be a difficult meeting. My last major wager was on

    Calgary Bay

for the abandoned Sky Bet chase at 14/1,he would have run a mighty race at the weights up there! My next serious bet is on

    Get me out of Here

at 14/1 in the Tote Gold Trophy, the only thing that can beat him is a "Flyweight" laid out for it!By the way, whats the name of the horse in your Avatar?

It’s good to see you back on here…..I am genuinely interested in what you are backing and the reasons why.
The avatar is Workforce,I backed him all the way through from Goodwood to the Arc.The Dante I have no doubt in my mind he would have won but for the slipped bit,The King Geo.&QE was possibly tactically ridden wrong.Because I am still learning and I did well out of this horse……he is my favourite!

Shearer, your horse will be a formidable 4yo,Coronation Cup,King George,Arc and Breeders Cup are all his for the taking.I have backed him at 7/1 for the Arc already and he will be the first horse since (Sagace),

    Alleged

to win it in successive years! Sir Michael has a 3yo Grandson of Alleged who is not unlike your horse and is still 33/1 with Corals for this years Derby,he"s the sort who will also improve with time, whats he called?

It will be Sea Moon….I backed this in October with B365 at 25/1 (it hasn’t changed!).Maybe I will take a bit of Corals!
As for Workforce….whatever entries I will almost certainly go with him as I just thought this was an unbeatable animal, despite the two defeats,it owes me nothing.

It’s down near the bottom of the thread and if you read the riddle now perhaps you’ll now cotton on to what I was saying.

"Rosyth is a lovely place"..Riddle me this Batman….Answer: .Rosyth the only horse to win the Tote(Schweppes) twice

You tipped him up for the Ladbroke and I had already backed him for his real target :P

Was in a rush earlier so I’ll give the resons for my bets now!

Si Cetait Vrai: he has always been regarded as special by connections, and was well fancied last time when only third behind Hidden Cyclone and Ballyhaunis. 22/1 without the favorite is too big a price about such a promising animal. I’d be hoping he’ll have improved again since the last day and am confident he’ll run a decent race.

Get Me Out Of Here: I’m very sweet on Kempes at Leopardstown today, although the ground may have gone against him. AP McCoy is gone to Newbury, however, to ride this horse. If we knew beforehand that he would produce his Supreme Novices form he’d be a very warm order for today’s contest. TAPK is very sweet on him and although I wouldn’t be as confident, he’s definitely worth a punt.

Champagne Agent: I think the form of his first race at Leopardstown is top notch, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he turns out to be as good as the winner. Star Neuville was given too much rope that dy and Champagne Agent ran a cracker to close the gap as much as he did, leaving the highly regarded Ballyhoura and Celtic Cub floundering in behind.

    BALANCE £1300
