Good evening all, as always to my fellow golfing comrades Swallow Cottage and MikkyMo, and hopefully after joining us last week would be nice to here from David Brady and Cormack15, the more the merrier i say.

As i sit down to bring you my version of the coming weeks events i was glad to see that SC and Mikky had some reward last week.

So without further ado on to this week.

Will begin with the LG Skins. i’m sure like me you can make a case for all 4 here  but for me Stephen Ames will do in the hope that if you pardon the pun he Skins them alive :).

Moving along from Indian Wells having stopped of at the fridge for an Export, also having re-fuelled we arrive in Shenzhen China for the Omega Mission Hills World Cup and having scoured the prices for some value, have decided to go with the USA duo of Heath Slocum and Boo Weekley, although stakes for this will be kept to a mimimum.

Moving on to the Casio World Open, i presume in Japan apologies if we have got lost would be no good as a plane driver , flying the flag here the one and only Jeev-Milkha Singh purely because he owe’s me one.

Finally this week we arrive in Melbourne for the Mastercard Masters, and not surprisingly a strong Baggy Green turnout for this, although without Adam Scott, and with Nick O’Hern and Nathan Green on World Cup duty, Aaron Baddeley finds himself as the jolly with most firms, whilst i feel he must go well won’t be having any of my capital.

That honour falls on Richard Green my No1 this week, Ably supported by Jarrod Lyle and my E/W of the week Scott Strange.

That’s all from me for the time being, as always whatever your picks be lucky.

Interesting write up as usual wakeman and the best of luck with your selection in Japan :)
The english team must fancy their chances of winning the WGC World Cup as both Rose and Poulter are recent winners but the price is too low for my liking. I was tempted to bet on Sweden as P.Hanson and Karllson both played well last week but I’m worried about how Karllson will play following his disaster on the final green in HK. I am going for Denmark who look reasonable value at 14/1 and have the consistent S.Hansen and the experienced A.Hansen as their team.

The Japanese men must have fond memories of last year’s Casio World Open as Michelle Wie made an appearance. I also have fond memories of it because I backed the winner :o with J M Singh and I am betting on him to repeat his success as he likes playing in Japan and finished a reasonable 7th there last week in a stronger tournament. I was going to bet on Snedeker but was surprised to see his price as low as 12’s which I do not think is value so I am leaving him alone…hope I do not regret it. My other bet is an each way punt at 40/1 on Yasuharu Imano ( try pronouncing that name after a few pints ) who has played quite well this year in Asia and came 3rd here in 2005.

Down to the Euro tour in Australia and it’s a weak field in the Mastercard tournament and I have never heard of at least 60% of the players. After a lot of thought I have decided to bet on the favorite Aaron Baddeley as he will win this easily if reproducing anything like his best form. It’s arguable whether 11’s is value as he did miss the cut in his last tournament and has not played for a few weeks but he should have the motivation to win this. My other choices are the australian Richard Green, the in form Daniel Chopra who played well last week in HK on a course which did not really suit him + Marcus Fraser who also played some good golf for a long while in HK.

    Good luck.

Afternoon to every one again, i was not aware until 5 mins ago that i had missed a tournament this week that being the Vietnam Masters tut, tut, so i will put that right toot sweet.

Having had what can only be described as a cursory look i will side with Prom Meesawat again so another to avoid :).

An interesting point bought up by SC with regard to the Mastercard Masters with regard to Aaron Baddeley as he should in right be too good for these and along with Daniel Chopra will probably regret putting them to room 101 on this occasion.

As Arnie once said i’ll be back :).

    Cheers for now.

Thanks for the congrats last week guys. I’m sorry it wasn’t a big priced winner but a winner is a winner as they say. I did say I was going large on Ochoa, and though I bottled it slightly, I still won enough to make Christmas quite cheap for me this year, though I didn’t win enough for that luxury holiday

However, there is always this week and I am having one bet and one bet only.

I will be going large this time and it’s going to be on England at 4.2. There are some good players in the World Cup (Goosen, Jiminez etc), but when you put Rose and Poulter together as a team, then this English team looks a bit like, to coin a phrase, class amongst sh1t.

I fully expect an England victory this weekend and will be betting accordingly.

Good luck for all your bets guys.

    Mike

Welcome back Mike, rarely bet on golf but I read these posts with interest. They seem to be the only good priced tips that make money! Stadler EW @100’s was brilliant run for your (not mine sadly, money)
Looked at England and thought skinny price but THE bet, THE winners but got put off by those other two W and SW!! Heads in a spin now…
I think I might have a bet on Green and Singh though as ther’s an agreement of opinion. I’m a bit of a sheep with golf. Cheers.

    Stoopid Aussies.

The Mastercard Masters tournament on BF falls under their agreement with the powers that be in Oz so you have to transfer funds to your Australian basket to have a bet.

I recall FSL having serious difficulties getting money back out of his AUS basket a while ago (BF wanted copies of his passport and a few other things besides) so I’ll take a trip to the Ladbrokes a few doors down tomorrow who are best price 10/1.

Interestingly, IACGMOOH falls under UK betting even though it’s held in Oz.

A good morning to all, having just jetted downstairs in the hope that the USA will have done the bizz for me i find that the Scots done me in the Penalty shoot out, Monty must have had some KIT-KATS on show  but fair play to them.

The rest for me seems to have been a bit of a wipe out but not to worry onwards and upwards i say.

Hope in Mikkys case that Messrs Rose and Poulter did not turn out to be to catastrophic, but they had a good run at it.

Last but by no means least, hats of again to Swallow Cottage a fine 1-2 in the Mastercard, should surely qualify for a free account with them :) for me though i still have not learned that whatever the price stick with your hunch, greed i’m afraid is still ruling me .

More again soon, am now going to Bungee jump from Blackpool Tower Minus the equipment  only joking of course.

Yes, congrats SC and unlucky Wakeman.

    Those damned Scots eh!

I did have a large bet on England, and I kept backing them in running  – but it wasn’t catastrophic as I was investing money that I had won the week before. The bookies always get it back

Wakeman, hold that jump, at least until I get there mate and we will do it together

Thanks guys and I seem to be going through a lucky patch at the moment in the golf which I hope will last at least one more week. Hope wakeman decided to lay off some of his USA bet but I do not know whether that is his style of betting or not.

Also well done to davidbrady who backed Baddeley ( without mentioning his name ) and also mentinoed IACGMOOH which I assumed was some sort of aboriginal sporting competition until I googled it :)

Afternoon all, i forgot to mention earlier the exploits of David Brady so a well done to him also, with regard to Swallow Cottages enquiry i tend not to go down the route of laying off, one i am absolutely useless at it :) have tried it in practice, and if i was to be honest about it i am not a big fan of it, although i would not mind being trained as you never know one day i might just take up the challenge :).

Don’t worry Mike the afore mentioned trip to Blackpool Tower will not be happening :lol at least for the purpose of how i stated it earlier: although there are times obviously when you wish you could start again.

    More later.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian
