Morning Campers, firstly apologies for the late posting, have had a couple of those nights with the youngest, but here we are bright eyed and bushy tailed  raring to go again.

So without further ado let’s get down to business.

First up is a rare occurence for me in that i am unable to make a selection in the Mount Edgecombe Trophy as i do not have an account with Skybet who are the only one’s at present pricing it up, will have another look later.

So down to the real stuff and to begin with the Honda Classic, firstly good news we don’t have the Headmaster to deal with  not that it makes it any easier.

Entrusted with brining home the Bacon here will be Boo Weekley, Justin Rose sorry Mike and Trevor Immelman.

Moving on to the Johnnie Walker, firstly i don’t think Pete will be tempted by Scotty at those odds but i could be wrong :) going into bat for me here will be Robert Karlsson, Johan Edfors and having nearly sneaked in the back door the other day i am going to give another chance to Jeev-Milkha Singh although more in hope than anything else.

Finally this weeks offering from the Girls and the HSBC Championship which marks the first start for Lorena, so are we going Loco, i think not, althoigh not in anyway suggesting that she can’t win.

I am going to be a bit predicable and boring here i’m afraid, firstly i have to stick with Paula Creamer although to my knowledge she has never won two weeks in a row, so no time like the present to put that right i think.

The supporting cast will consist of Maria Hjorth and i will have to give Angela Park another outing, on to my my silly one for this week a comment that applies to most of mine, in the hope that the Gateau’s are up to scratch Sarah Lee will be trusted with supplying the Dessert if all else fails.

Well that will do it for me for now, will update later should anything else appear, so as always whatever your picks BE LUCKY.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

Well done last week Adrian with Paula Creamer. I’m going to be optimistic and keep betting on the ladies tour and my two choices for the HSBC Champions in Singapore are Cristie Kerr and Karrie Webb.

The Euro tour goes to India again and it’s the Johnnie Walker Classic which this year takes place in New Delhi. Adam Scott should like this course and has a decent chance of winning but his odds are too short for my liking and the same applies to Vijay Singh. I’m not very good at these types of euro events and this week I’ve decided to give the european players a miss and have also left the Indian players out and I have bet on two asian players from Thailand named Prayad Marksaeng and Prom Meesawat.

I’m going to have another go at the Sunshine tour down in SA and in the Mt Edgecombe trophy, I have bet e/way on Ross Wellington at 40’s and on Adilson Da Silva to win at 14’s.

I’ve somehow managed to back the runner up in each of the three recent events on the pga tour which this week goes to Florida and it’s the Honda Classic at Palm Beach on a par 70 course which is a lot different to the easy long par 72 course played at the Matchplay last week and there will not be so many birdies made. The long hitters are unlikely to have much advantage and good iron play and accuracy are probably more important.
My first pick is Luke Donald who has played a lot better than usual in his previous two tournaments and should have a good chance if reproducing his recent improvement.
I’m also betting on Trevor Immelman who played well last week and nearly beat the in form Henrik Stenson. My other two bets are on Boo Weekley and Camilo Villegas who both reached the play off in this event last year but were beaten by Mark Wilson.

    Good luck :)

    Pete

    Sorry guys,

I’m just off out and have realised I’ve forgot to post my selections so no time for a write up (thank god I hear you say).

    Johnnie Walker

    Simon Dyson @ 38
    Colin Montgomerie @ 42
    Paul McGinley @ 75
    David Smail @ 120

    Honda Classic

    Justin Rose @ 25
    Zach Johnson @ 42
    Jason Day @ 95
    Woody Austin @ 100

The above are the win prices only, but I’ve backed all of them to finish in the top five also so a place for a few will be nice.

    HSBC Womens Championships

    Lorena Ochoa – big bet @ 3.5

    Good luck all.

Hi again chaps, since i left for the office this morning and having just returned i see the Tote now have a boo on the Mount Edgecombe so i will put forward Darren Fichardt as a no more than speculative selection.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

Have to say despite my lack of golfing knowledge, I find the weekly punt a thrill cos one of us (not me :D ) always seems to have a great run for their money. Really open market on the Honda don’t you think? There could be a real big one this week I think

Many congrats to Mike who had a big bet on the lovely Lorena Ochoa who was a runaway winner in the Women’s golf over in Singapore. Hopefully he made enough money to pay for some Wembley tickets to see Boro play :)

Adrian picked up some decent place money with his selections Johan Edfors, Paula Creamer and Darren Fichardt who should really have won.

My selection Luke Donald presently shares the lead in the USA. He is not the best at finishing off tournaments but I am hoping he will win or come close to give us another good week in the golf on this part of the forum.

Hi chaps, yes i to would like to add my congrats to Mike, now all we need is the Boro to sort out Cardiff then hopefully Mike will be the Sky sports Guest of Honour  :) at the Twin Towers in May, as Mr Woods last week i suppose the obvious thing is the Price don’t matter :) .

As for myself , yes a few Plaice lying around but no Chips :D , unfortunately i did Paula to win, Stupid Boy Pike

Not sure if Crizzy can salvage anything but hopefully he can.

As Pete has said youngMaster Donald has not got the best of records in Winning, hopefully he can put that straight this evening and it’s not a case of Quack, quack, oops :) .

    Cheers for now.

Morning folks, i believe it was Mike who said about Ernie last week and i 100% agree, if this were Horse Racing he would be looking at a suspension under the Non Triers, how can two weeks be so different, not a bean of interest last week  .

What’s worse is that he has done Pete although having watched it last night, i think he would be the first to admit that nothing went Luke’s way.

    Catch you all later.

    Cheers for now.

Yes Adrian, Ernie was definitely a non-trier last week. Either that or this week he should be called in to explain his rapid improvement :D

Congrats to all who had landed decent e/w bets. As for Lorena, well I hope I can get 5/2 about her every week – this girl really is the real deal. I thought Annika was good, but this girl is something else. She is just like Tiger is compared to his rivals – class amongst sh1t for the want of a better phrase :D

    Mike
