    Good morning fellow Golfers.

Well here we are then the end of the European Season is almost upon us, fear not though 2009 starts next week.

So i will start with the said ending of the European season, it is of course the Volvo Masters at one of my favourite courses Valderrama and what a line up the only one’s missing are the one’s who post on here  .

This years renewal has a bit of extra spice for me as i am hoping that Robert Karlsson can hang on an clinch the Order Of Merit title, i will however not be backing him this week.

The only conceivable danger i think is Padraig Harrington who it has to be said has had a wretched time of it since the US PGA but as he still has a shout for the OOM for that reason i have to include him this week.

There are plenty more obviously who can win this week but i have come down on the side of Paul Casey as my other main choice, granted his record in this is probably not the best but on his day he is more than capable of mixing it with the best.

My final choice will be Simon Dyson who has been very hit and miss this year but he did get in the money in this last year and had a good spin last week, here’s hoping that the hoovers are working ok :) .

Stateside this week see’s the Ginn Sur Mer Classic, firstly i am somewhat surprised at th W/D of Sean O’Hair, must have heard that i was going to back him this week so probably quite wise to opt out  .

My three for this are firstly having left him out last week it is a welcome back to Tim Clark, here’s hoping that the pocket dynamo from Durban has enough ammo to put up a good showing.

For my second selection i am going to go in again with JJ Henry who put up an improved showing last week and hopefully can go on from that.

A bit of a shot in the dark for my final choice but at the odds i could not pass up a small investment on Jerry Kelly who just finished out of the money in this last year.

So to the Ladies and the Hana Bank Kolon Championship and normal service resumed here in the shape of Paula Creamer, here’s hoping that a small rest will have done the trick.

The supporting cast are made up of Katherine Hull and Na Yeon Choi, Kristy McPherson appears to have gone of the boil so will be ommitted this week, (GET ON).

There is a European Ladies event this week the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open, but as yet i can’t find any odds, in the event that some appear those flying the flag for me will be Eva Steinberger, Kirsty Taylor and Veronica Zorzi

Well that does it for me so as usual the Best Of Luck to everyone.

    Cheers.

    Adrian.

Good luck to Adrian and anybody else betting on the golf and I can’t do much worse than I did last week :(

I’ll start with one of my favourite events on the Euro tour which is the Volvo Masters at Valderrama where the course can be quite testing. Also it can sometimes get very windy which makes birdies difficult to get. A lot of top golfers are competing in this and finding the winner is not easy but it rarely is in my experience.
I’m going with Jeev Milkha Singh to win this tournament for the second time in his career. He started last week’s event with a treble bogey on the first hole so did reasonable well to recover and finish 13th. I’m also betting on the German Martin Kaymer to end a successful season with a win and I think that Peter Hanson is worth a punt. My very optimistic pick for this is Francesco Molinari at BF odds of 150/1.

The pga fall series continues in the USA and so far in this series, I’ve been watching most of my selections falling down the leaderboard  This week it’s the Ginn sur Mer Classic and this name brings back bad memories as I once had the mother of all hangovers due to drinking too much gin and I have never tasted it since……just the smell of it makes me feel ill.
I don’t have any strong thoughts for this event so I will try my luck with a few quid on 5 players. I’m going to take a chance that Heath Slocum will find some decent form as I could not resist the odds of 66/1 on offer. My other choices are Charles Howell III, Peter Lonard, John Mallinger and Tim Wilkinson.

The lpga event takes place in S/Korea and it’s the Hana Bank Kolon Championship. I think that a home victory is very likely so I’m betting on three S/Koreans ( which causes havoc with the spell-check on my computer :) ) named Na Yeon Choi, Eun Hee Ji and Hee Kyung Seo who is e/w value at odds of 125/1 in my opinion. My final selection is Chinese and I’m keeping faith with Shanshan Feng who looks to be due a win.

    Happy punting :)

    Pete
