    Good afternoon fellow Golfing companions.

Well here we go again, all revved up for another weeks challenge hopefully.

As we draw closer to the Ryder Cup it might pay to leave players who are in that this week alone, but in saying that easier said than done.

I will begin this week with Round 3 of the Fed-Ex Cup, that being the BMW Championship.

First thing to say here is that despite Vijay Singh’s efforts over the last couple of weeks 5/1 that is out and about is not overly generous pleased to say i don’t have accounts with said parties, in saying that given his present mood though that could be very appealing come Sunday Evening.

The supporting cast, well there were signs last week that both Jim Furyk and Ernie Els were coming to the boil, both put in eyecatching performances so in the hope that they can continue that they will form the backbone for me here this week.

The Fourth member for me here will be Tim Clark, hopefully last weeks excertions have not left any damaging marks.

I had considered DJ Trahan, but having had a wretched day on Monday i am now not so sure, in saying that the 175/1 available at present in certain places is for me overpriced.

Several others merit consideration particularly Mike Weir, if he had a better day on Monday he might just have made it.

Ok next the Omega European Masters played at the very picturesque Crans-Sur-Sierre Course in Switzerland.

This for me was a somewhat easier assignment to sift through.

I will be having a maximum bet for me here on Bradley Dredge, however in case Plan A goes tit’s up i will also be going in with Marcel Siem, another prominent showing from last weeks winner Gregory Havret would not be the biggest surprise but my final vote here will go to Francesco Molinari, who like (Jim Furyk and Ernie Els) put in an eycatching performance at the Johnnie Walker last week.

As with the BMW obviously several other that could quite easily win, i very nearly went for Miguel Angel Jimenez but i feel that he may use it for fine tuning with regards the Ryder Cup, not suggesting in anyway that he cannot win this.

Finally then to this weeks offering from the Ladies, again it’s the European Tour that provides that opportunity, the event in question the Nykredit Masters, in which a very strong Favourite emerges here in the shape of Annika Sorenstam, i don’t often back Golfers this short but i just have a feeling that she might do it here, let’s face it is she going to be any better than 5/2 for her swansong tournament in Dubai later in the year, i would have to say probably not at this stage.

I cannot go single handed here though and the one’s left with picking up the pieces if Annika falls short will be Becky Brewerton, hopefully refreshed after a short break Melissa Reid and i am going to give Marina Arruti who although not in with a chance of winning last week still sneaked into 10th place an opportunity to shine for me here, hopefully she can build on that effort this week.

Well that will do it for me for now, so to everybody as always whatever your picks BE LUCKY.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

Good luck Adrian. If I had a choice of free tickets to any event on the European golf tour then I would choose ones for this week’s Omega European Masters in Switzerland….that’s a hint to anybody who has some to spare :)
Bradley Dredge has a good record in this event including a win but the two players who will be burdened with my money to ruin their chances are Francesco Molinari who played quite well at the Gleneagles course last week ( a course which does not play to his strengths in my opinion ) and the promising swedish player Alexander Noren.

On the pga tour and the remaining 70 players in the fedex playoffs go to Missouri for the BMW Championships and the course looks similar to the one at last week’s event in Boston. I’m going to bet again on Anthony Kim and also again on Camilo Villegas who played good golf last week to finish third and was seventh at this event last year.
Stewart Cink has not played particularly well since winning the Travellers but he did show some signs of a return to form in the first 3 rounds at Boston and my money is on him to win here. It is encouraging that he performed with credit at this event last year.
My other selections are Steve Stricker and Brandt Snedeker who is more than capable of a good show here based on his best form ( third in Masters and ninth in US Open ). He is is a difficult player to predict correctly but looks good e/way value at 125/1.

    Happy punting :)

Hi again, since original post it has been pointed out to me by Pete that there was 13/2 going at Skybet for Vijay so i very quickly nabbed some of that, don’t think we will better that somehow.

    Cheers again.

    Adrian.
