A good afternoon to eveyone, a warm welcome to my WEEKLEY shenanigins, a clue maybe to a selection in the St Jude .

At first glance a very tricky task ahead this week, aren’t they always  but hopefully a Winner or Three awaits :) .

I will begin with the St Jude Championship and you should have worked it out by now :) yes Boo Weekley will be my No 1 here, ably supported hopefully by Brian Gay.

On next to the Austrian Open played in one of my Fav cities Vienna, will have to go back soon.

This to me is more difficuilt than the St Jude, but hopefully Louis Oosthuizen can rise to the occasion and i am going to give another outing to Jyoti Randhawa in the hope that he can add some spice to the weekend.

So to the Ladies then and firstly the Amro Ladies Open and after much deliberation i have come down on the side of Lisa Hall, Melissa Reid and no medals for guessing my final one here it is none other than Paula Marti.

So it is now time for this weeks main event the Mcdonalds LPGA, here’s hoping i can win enough to buy one  .

This has caused me numerous headaches since the weekend, proof if need be that drink is not the only thing capable of doing that  .

Firstly there will be no Paula or Annika fighting my corner this week, not that they have done anything wrong, i just have a feeling that it might be in there intersets not to have me snapping at there heels   , hope they don’t come back to haunt me come Sunday night :) .

So having done a bit of pruning i have come down on the side of Karrie Webb a tad unfortunate last week thankfully in my case.

Karen Stupples who has been having a reasonable time of it lately Maria Hjorth and again no surprises Teresa Lu will be entrusted also with hopefully bringing me my Quarter Pounder come Sunday evening  .

Well that will just about do it for me again, so as always whatever your picks BE LUCKY.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

    Good luck as usual Adrian.

I’ll start with the second ladies major of the year and it’s the Mcdonalds LPGA Championship in Maryland which Suzann Pettersen won last year and I’m backing her to do so again. I’ve also bet e/way on Jee Young Lee.

The euro tour moves to Austria which is a country I have visited four times but only when there has been snow there which can be an extra hazard to anybody playing golf :) It’s the Austrian Open and I’m giving another chance to Jyoti Randhawa and I’ve also bet on Soren Hansen and Graeme McDowell so expect all of them miss the cut.

The pga tour continues in Memphis and some players will use this week’s tournament as a warm up to next week’s US Open. It’s the Stanford St Jude Championship which is a par 70 course and is one of the shortest courses on the pga circuit. David Toms has played well at this event in the past and this course tends to suit the accurate shorter hitters which is why I’m betting on three players who fall into this category. They are Brian Gay, Cliff Kresge and Heath Slocum so get ready to see one of the inaccurate, longer hitters win.
My other selection is Brandt Snedeker in the hope that he can find a return to some decent form on a course which he knows well and where he finished 5th last year.

    Happy punting :)

    Pete
