The distance in miles between Stockton and Newcastle is similar to the distance in miles between Manchester and Liverpool. Would you call someone from Manchester a Scouser or someone from Liverpool a Mancunian?

I have to agree with Corm here .. there’s nothing wrong with being a whining Geordie MM .. its just a part of accepting who and what you are.

I’d say i was like Cheryl Tweedy looks wise – but then would be lying through my teeth! haha. Err, in the horse racing business would compare myself to – i don’t really know am far too immature and giggly to be anyone proper so probably like the female version of Matt Chapman – actually god noo, he’s so annoying! I know you’re not – that was a played-for-and-got on my part! I worked in Scarborough for five years at the same time as my little bro was studying in Newcastle, so we know the area in between (and its distinction from Newcastle, Sunderland, etc.) very well.
You could count as a Sandwalker, though.

I’m v glad that u’ll stand up for Thommo Kauto…I too feel he is harshly treated on here…
He has the odd downfall as a commentator (but who doesn’t!?!) but as a presenter he draws the non-racing chaps in and generally does the industry a favour. And to top it off he is a great guy- very friendly,very open and was a great help to me starting out in the industry.As for who I am…
I am secretary to a certain Lucinda Russell, and have passed through the realms of RP journalist between July and Sept 06…
So no one of great consequence, although if you do search on the RP cuttings library my articles do come up…
Up the Tommo fan club!
My Mam is his biggest fan so feel i have to stick up for him for her. But i do like him, especially as a presenter you’re very right what you say.I want to be someone interesting also, it’s depressed me this topic has, made me realise i am a nobody haha, though yes i do like the idea of pretending to be Cheryl!! By the way, you live in Stockton MikkyMo! I’m so jealous, you have Teesside Park and Zanzibar haha. Was looking about for houses to rent / buy there but prices are loads more expensive there than here. I want to be a stocktonian haha.
