Only 2-3 weeks away from the first major of the season, cannot wait.

Speith and Dustin head the market – no surprise here as they were both superb last season and have both won pretty big tournaments over the last few weeks so are coming into this in red hot form.
I like to go for double figure prices in the golf however so will probably give both of them a miss, just had a quick glaze through the betting and there’s a few that catch the eye.

Stenson 22/1 – never played incredibly well here but is a class class golfer and certainly has it in him to place at least.
Paul Casey 40/1 – solid form here, placing a few times in the top 10, in good form too at the moment and I’ll definitely be backing this man e/w.
Thomas Pieters 45/1 – not sure if I’m going to back him as he has no real Augusta form but hes been playing well the last couple of weeks and showed he can play well under pressure in the Ryder Cup last year.

My last 2bets for Augusta are below to go with Ante post bets

    JB HOLMES 110/1

Was 5th here last year and he also 3rd in the open last season as well. Not done well this year but with form at Augusta and more rain to come suit this big hitter go well.

    EMILLIANO GRILLO 125/1

I think this year be breakout year in majors for him.Was 17th on debut last year which was good showing by him.And was back to form at Arnold Palmer apart from 3rd round 78.But he enjoy Augusta go well at big price.

I usually do 6 bets of varied stake for the majors.

Two players I back at every major, two players over 100/1 and my main two fancies for the tournament which have the main stake on them.

As always, I’ve played Matt Kuchar and Patrick Reed at 66/1 and 50/1 as I’m sure they will both win a major one day. The latter has done well for me with a couple of place finishes in the last two years.

The two outsiders I’ve done are Kaymer at 125/1 and Kjeldson at 150/1. Very small stakes on both.

Main two fancies this year are Casey and Fowler. The latter at 28/1 is any main hope. Really think he’s in line for a big tournament.

For what it’s worth, all bets are each way and I only bet in the majors. Last year, using this strategy, I had 3 winners from 4 (DJ, Willett and Stenson) and all of which were in my main two.

    Good luck all

Alex Noren really stood out for me at 90/1 with Sky Bet who are paying 8 places and a 1/4.
Also took the 160s on the machine. I think the world number 11 is going into this quite under the radar, despite it being his first ever Masters.

Also done Fowler 20s and Snedeker 50s. Hopefully get a nice run for my money, what a fantastic weekend of sport ahead.

    My special bets are

DJ and H Matsuyama dual forecast 80/1

No doubt DJ my number one bet on at 16/1 but other Ante post bet is Hideki Matsuyama at 28/1 he even though Mats off the boil but can see him bouncing back to his best this week and 80/1 for this FC nice bet.

    THOMAS PIETERS 8/1 Top debutant

Of the newcomers i fancy him to win yes Rahm in flying form but Pieters did well Riveria was 2nd at Genesis open shown form at Ryder cup think he top the honors of those making debut at Augusta.

I have backed Pieters to be top debutant as well Darren and have also had a small each way bet at 33/1 on Si Woo Kim who could surprise a few people!

Also backed Westwood at 14/1 e/w to be top brit and Westwood at 25/1 and Pieters at 22/1 to be top European.

    Good Luck Guys :good: :good:

Sorry I’m late putting these up guys, it’s been a bit of a busy week for me.
These are the ones I took ante post….

    Jordan Speith 8/1
    Jason Day 10/1
    Hideki Matsuyama 18/1

Speith and Matsuyama are at much the same odds now, but Day hasn’t been playing
particularly well an can be got at double the odds I took :-(

I’ll add another couple to my team.
After his good win last week, which gave Darren and I a good lift, I’m going
to have a few quid on RUSSELL HENLEY just in case he has hit a purple patch.
    I nabbed the 100/1 with Bet365 (mentioned on Darren’s sports bets), he’s a
bit below that now. My other punt is on THOMAS PIETERS, who I took the 66/1
with Willie Hill, although I see he can now be got at 70/1.

That will do me for the first couple of days, and if it’s not going too well
I’ll reassess. Good luck guys :good:

Nibbled at Rickie Fowler to win at 16/1 and Justin Thomas (e/w 8 places) 35/1.

I did see that Daniel Berger’s price has halved which is interesting for a player with limited experience.

Any 1st round leader bets mine below

    HIDEKI MATSUYAMA 25/1

Has a decent time to shoot a low score and conditions to perfect for him like playing in weather like this and think he can top the leaderboard after day one.

Rickie is playing well but unfortunately for us it looks like he’ll just come up short.
