Maybe i have a soft spot because The Cowboy was one of my all time fav’s. Magnier beat AP in a finish before Rhinestone-v-Liberman…. Funny or what
March 10, 2006 at 08:18 #69106Ruby rides Hedgehunter over Cornish Rebel and Our Ben and Mister Hight
March 10, 2006 at 08:19 #69108Liam Heard rides Kicks For Free
March 10, 2006 at 09:47 #69109Ruby was offered the ride and when he said no Nicholls said thats rubys loss. Now i hear Ruby is favouring Equs Maximus.
March 10, 2006 at 09:52 #69110Have read elsewhere that Ruby will be on Irish Invader.
First signs that all is not well GM?
March 10, 2006 at 10:09 #69111Does appear that hes putting mullins ahead of his regular paymaster. Personally i am very suprised hes choosing hedgehunter over Cornish rebel
Still, as PN said, its his loss.
If there was ever a fall out, PN would stil have his pick. Niot only the best trainer but strikes me as a decent bloke you can imagine jockeys being happy working with
March 10, 2006 at 10:17 #69112Think part of the Hedgehunter thing is him not wanting to lose the ride for the National.
March 10, 2006 at 10:21 #69113Hedgehunter is a very unlikely runner in the Gold Cup now thats according to Tony Mullins not Willy and the general consensis is that the National is stil the main aim.So as stupid as it may sound he wont be over busy in the Gold Cup.
Antd to CLIVEX ….Nicholls isnt the best boss in the world ,the time his horses werent firing he was putting the blsme on Ruby, and after John Hales slated ruby for his handling of Azertioup Nicholls never defended him.
Nicholls is a P**ck and would put ya in the poor house if ya were to listen to him.
March 10, 2006 at 10:22 #69114I doubt there was any chance of that IS, even if he did ride Cornish.
March 10, 2006 at 10:27 #69115Well i dont recall that giggins.
"Listen to him" ?
hes about the best trainer for keeping punters properly informed for a start. so i do listen to him
Ive no real idea what hes like to work for (we can only guess) but nor have you so stupid name calling is not clever.
Ruby doesnt strike me as one to put up with nonsense and hes been there a good while now, so draw own conclusions
March 10, 2006 at 11:22 #69116Ruby will put up with a lot of things if it pays him.
March 10, 2006 at 11:33 #69117And he could ride anywhere
Could have gone to Pipe, but didnt of course
March 10, 2006 at 11:36 #69118He doesnt want or need a retainer especially for a tight arse like Johnson. He won the most prizemoney in UK and Ireland why would he want a retainer
March 10, 2006 at 11:39 #69119and he gets half of his tax back by staying in Ireland….money talks!
April 1, 2006 at 10:51 #69120Is it over? The Irish Field on their front page this morning have announced Murtagh as Mullins new stable jockey….bizzarre!
April 1, 2006 at 11:05 #69121Perhaps its an April fools?
April 1, 2006 at 11:19 #69122Who would believe that.
