I gave up trying to understand it weeks ago, and think it’s an exercise in the suspension of disbelief….there’s an article in last weeks Observer I’ve yet to read that says the cast only get the script just before they film each episode, so they don’t know what’s going to happen either. Sad person that I am it’s the highlight of my week!
March 19, 2011 at 07:27 #346150I just hope "BBC4" carry on with this type of import.
It is my highlight of the week as well!

March 19, 2011 at 23:01 #346291I feel like I’ve been hit on the head with a brick. This must be up there with the best television series ever broadcast.
Counting down the days till next Saturday.
March 19, 2011 at 23:11 #346293Phone rang just before the end of the first hour, so got to re watch it on iplayer [saw the second hour]. Realised that, even after next week I’m going to have to get it on dvd and rewatch the whole series just so’s I can piece it all together.
March 20, 2011 at 13:36 #346356Guesses as to who dunnit, anyone?
Could be:
Troels
Bremer – but a bit old
Theis (ugh, that would be weird)
Troels’ bird ??
Troels’ advisor
The sacked Bremer advisor
BrixNo, I’ve no idea! I suppose it speaks for the writing (or my gullibility?) that I’m still very interested despite the lack of firm leads.
March 20, 2011 at 20:03 #346451What about Lund’s boss?
There is something of the night with that one.
When, Jan Meyer was shot, the person was wearing black gloves.

March 20, 2011 at 22:41 #346488Sort of spoiler alert;Lund and her boss are the only two in the next series so it ain’t him. I think Rie is involved somewhere along the way…we’re all assuming there is only one male perpetrator. It’s a series about women; strong women. Can’t wait till next week! I really must get to see The Wire when I find the time; my daughter says it’s the best thing she’s ever seen.

March 22, 2011 at 13:30 #346733Well, whoever it is, I’ve enjoyed watching – quite a bit.
Here’s hoping it’s not so off the wall that it’s disappointing.
Even if it is, I’ll forgive!
March 26, 2011 at 10:33 #347307Are we all getting excited?!
March 26, 2011 at 11:00 #347311Oh, yes!
Riveting, TV ends tonight at 23:00.
Saturday night will not be quite the same for sometime.

March 26, 2011 at 13:08 #347337When it was shown in Denmark 80% of the viewing public tuned in to watch the last episode! Part of me wants to watch it but another part of me wants to record it and save it. However, I did that with Vanity Fair years ago and lost the recording! What is the link with the house? Why did her father buy it for her to live in it? I remember wondering about that right at the beginning. I even had an early night last night so I wouldn’t be tired by 10 0’clock! Can’t thank you enough for telling us about this series1
March 27, 2011 at 10:07 #347447Still thinking about it; an awful lot of loose ends but a good blog on http://www.guardian.co.uk that helps out. Will definately have to watch the whole thing again when it’s [hopefully] repeated.
March 27, 2011 at 11:13 #347455There, certainly were.
I think that was done on purpose by the writer – nothing, in life is perfect and there always have to be some compromises.
I think the “political” side of the story was fascinating as well; my, opinion of them all has just been confirmed once again!
We have the “French” offering to look forward to next week but, after “The Killing” it is a hard act to follow.

March 27, 2011 at 17:51 #347489Maybe DANISH but like the episodes of WALLANDER from Sweden before it BBC 4 seem to great foreign DRAMAS on Saturday nights and the KILLING one of the best yet and another lot coming later in the year cant wait.
Sat the 31st march a NEW FRENCH DETECTIVE SERIES STARTS and maybe worth a look in SPIRAL and stars a WOMAN and sounds LIKE LAW AND ORDER but from a FRENCH POINT OF VIEW.

March 27, 2011 at 21:41 #347523Just gave someone a lift back from town who had recorded last nights episodes; thankfully I didn’t do my blunderwoman bit and give anything away. Wonder what the French series will be like? The language might get in the way a bit as my schoolgirl French might understand some of it. I like the fact that Swedish and Danish is completely foreign to me.
March 30, 2011 at 14:34 #347897I remember this one from the 1980’s that BBC2 televised in instalments:-
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082096/
"Das Boot", absolutely superb.

Yes, it was so good Matron, I was miffed when they got shot up by our RAF at the end – having felt very concerned for their welfare! And I could have been torpedoed coming over from India at that time. Most of the convoy was.
March 30, 2011 at 15:26 #347903Grimes,
What service were you in?
My, late father was in "Bomber Command" and served a term in India during the war.
