As this is a thread with a nautical theme has anyone heard of Alexander Selkirk, on whom Robinson Crusoe was based? I heard about him on a tv programme the other night. Fascinating story [can’t do a link for it though].

Yes Moe , apparently you are right , he was the inspiration for Crusoe ….so bang on the money as always …wonder if the racehorse Selkirk was called after him ….

Anyway Moe , you are a gorgeous creature and I wish you a happy and drunkem christmas ….lets hope this lounge is not such a deserted place in the new year ,,,,

I am getting ready for my state of the nation Ghoul speech  ..just waiting for the sheep to appear , so my dander can put some real feeling into it

Are you going to Chelters next march Moe ??

We’ve decided not to go because of all the work that’s being done there; starting to regret it though as I’ve gone to one of the three/four days every year going back as far as I can remember. We may change our mind. We’re going to the Arc again though. I was wondering about Selkirk [the horse] as well. Just imagine being dropped off at a desert island expecting a ship to pass by only to have to wait 4 years [and I bet two turned up at once :D ]…

    Comrades Moe and Ricky.
I wouldn’t mind catching a lift to Longchamp for Arc day.

    Bonjour to that Ricky.
If I hop on a flight to Paris is it far from there?
I like the sound of the nutters coming out to play, I think I will fit in well.
I don’t think I’ll bother with the tote, a load of photo’s weekend and a few French pimms perhaps.
