I’ve decided not to bet in this. Hope Oxagon wins it.
October 25, 2025 at 14:05 #1742967WIll be interesting to see who handles the ground the best as none have run on anything this deep

Proper race!October 25, 2025 at 14:10 #1742972WD to the winners – think BC was most inconvenienced by that ground as he was changing his legs quite noticeable through the race and he has a much more fluent action so will likely be better on decent ground.
Think the winner might need that kind of ground going forward and whilst he clearly battles well the high head carriage is still a little concerning.
October 25, 2025 at 14:13 #1742974A pitiful home defence in another underwhelming Group race
October 25, 2025 at 14:15 #1742976Pure size of winner compared to BC was an obvious factor too!
October 25, 2025 at 14:26 #1742980Ty all, have to agree about the home team not being represented at all in a G1 race.
October 25, 2025 at 14:29 #1742983Nice one Ruby
I still have Jac’s horse top of the Derby list
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
October 25, 2025 at 15:01 #1742993Yes very well done Ruby ..
Oxagon first to be beaten that was disappointing but the O’Brien horses always play their Aces at this time of the year and looking forward to seeing Pierre Bonnard run in France tomorrow.

October 25, 2025 at 21:36 #1743038Funny how folk see different things. A few observers thought hawk mountain has a huge frame to grow into and others say he won as he was much bigger than the rest. I think this was a cracking renewal of the futurity and can see the first three winning big races. You always have to factor the conditions into calculations but auguste rodin didn’t love the ground and won as have a few other winners. I’d go as far to say this might be as strong if not stronger form than the dewhurst. We shall see next season. At the moment I’d take action and Pierre bonnard for the derby. I’ll be at chester next may so hopefully see one or two from today’s race there.
October 25, 2025 at 21:51 #1743041“A cracking renewal”?
As you said: each to their own.
October 26, 2025 at 10:43 #1743062Time will tell. Last year shadow of light won the dewhurst and delacroix 2nd in the futurity. In the last 20 years both races have produced multiple group ones one winners but I’d say the futurity has produced more top class horses. All depends how they develop from 2 to 3 and the dewhurst have had a few winners who haven’t reached the heights expected of them. How we decipher the stats is all part of the fun of this sport.
