Great novice races and great Festival trials at the weekend. No one with a short preview?
I’m interested in Omessa Has who is entered for both, the Adonis and the Dovecote. Anyone with news about him?February 26, 2016 at 09:42 #1235219Best to wait until the final decs to see who runs where (four horses are engaged in both races at the moment), but Winter Escape looks a potential top-notcher and should take all the beating in the Dovecote. He made the 130-rated Bantam look like a plater last time and Marracudja, who probably went off too quickly over course and distance on Boxing Day, should give him a nice lead. I’ve taken some of the 25s available about Winter Escape for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in anticipation of another impressive win tomorrow; I have a suspicion that this horse is the reason why Yanworth was stepped up in trip.

Didn’t have anything in The Supreme, after my outsider got withdrawn, so threw a few quid at Winter Escape in The Dovecote. By all accounts, he’ll swerve Cheltenham for Aintree, but gives me a bit of interest today.
