Does anyone know who accepts related betting?
Basically it is backing the same horse to win more than one classic (anti post) as a double.
Thanks

If its regarding
St Nicholas Abbey
sit down before they give you the price!
April 1, 2010 at 10:51 #286901I see Skybet were going 5-1 SNA the double, which ain’t good.
I’ve just got a quote on one which is around 16-1 and 20-1 and the double was 66-1. Whimps!!!

April 1, 2010 at 11:46 #286914Zarkava,
Man after my own heart:-
Jim Delahunt (Scottish Herald)- 30th March
"That said, since John Dunlop’s Elusive Pimpernel (fouled 14th Feb) is going to reverse the Racing Post Trophy form with St Nicholas Abbey and win at both Newmarket and Epsom, O’Brien’s raiders will be seeking here and there for place money.
Oops, that’s the cat out of the bag!"
April 1, 2010 at 12:05 #286917No, I really can’t see Elusive Pimpernel staying the trip but if it’s 66s, even I might have to have a fiver on that.
April 1, 2010 at 12:58 #286946Hi Zarkava,
I think you misunderstand. Corals were offering 66-1 for the double. 20-1 is available for the 2000g and Ladbrokes 25-1 for the Derby. So 66-1 is a joke. It should be slightly down on 20 x 25 = 500 – 1 plus a bit.
Don’t agree about 1.5 miles.
Dad is retaled to Northern Dancer, Sir Ivor and Secretariat.
Mum won over a mile and a half (held up, headway to lead over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, rallied to lead again inside final furlong, ran on) and she has Sadlers Wells and Troy in her blood.
Will it come down the hill? Maybe.
April 1, 2010 at 15:48 #286975No, I didn’t misunderstand at all…I said I can’t see Elusive Pimpernel getting the trip. What has that got to do with related-contingency betting? I’m well-aware of related-contingency betting and how ridiculously unfair they are on punters, but there’s nothing we can do about it.
April 1, 2010 at 16:56 #286998Related contingency bets are a sad fact but they have always been awful odds and as long as we know this we can bet OR NOT accordingly!!
Personally I think Elusive will be staying on but will probably lack the basic speed to lie handy enough to get a blow in in the Guineas
April 1, 2010 at 20:47 #287054Elusive Pimpernel will get a 11/2m no problem, his half brother Palavichini by Giants Causeway stayed well,He is not a 2000gns horse though, too big and looks like a stayer!
April 1, 2010 at 21:08 #28705766/1 suggests that after he won the Guineas he’d be ca. 2/1 for the Guineas. Unlikely but entirely possible so 66/1 not totally outlandish.
I’d make it 125/1 or so myself.
