This weekend we’ll be running a competition featured around the 7 races which will be televised on Channel 4.
I’ll have full details of the competition tomorrow evening.
Winner will receive a great prize – a copy of the Racing Post Annual 2012 (see below)

THE RACING POST ANNUAL 2012“There have been moments when, in the wrong hands, his mind could have blown it”
Brough Scott’s inside story of Frankel the wonder horse“The dream is that he should be loved as much as Desert Orchid”
Long Run’s glorious year and the plan to make him jump racing’s new superstar“In the duel between life and death, life had won”
The miraculous recovery of Monet’s Garden“I hope I made Dad proud”
Donald McCain on the Grand National and his upbringing“I’m not daft enough to say it’ll come easily, but I’d love to be champion trainer”
The names and faces to watch in 2012“He’s covering almost the length of a cricket pitch each and every second”
Racing Post experts give their views on the champions and key races“It was an easy choice”
Announcing the Racing Post Annual Person of the Year
“A blind man could see his saddle had slipped!”
The Annual’s alternative awardsThis exciting new book from the Racing Post has 192 colour pages packed with interviews and features on all the best stories of the racing year, as well as the names and faces to watch in 2012, and is beautifully illustrated with stunning images by award-winning photographer Edward Whitaker. And there is everything you’d expect from an Annual: competitions, offers, prizes, humour and a sometimes serious, sometimes irreverent look back on the best and worst of the year.

October 27, 2011 at 18:19 #374448OK – rules are simple –
Just select THREE horses in each of the FIRST seven races on Channel 4 (outlined below – the b*****s added an eighth!)
You will score points for each horse you select which is in the first three, the number of points for each horse being equal to its SP. So, if you have a horse in your three and it finishes in the first three in the race and goes off at 2/1 you score 2 pts.
Your scores will be added together and the winner will be the one with most points.
In the event of a tie the person with most WINNERS will win, if still tied then the person with the biggest priced winner, then biggest priced second and then biggest price third. That shoudl sort it out!
Entries must be posted on this thread by 2 pm Saturday.
Let me know if any queries –
