They don’t even have to buy the game. Just get them to download it and the people who have bought it (like me) can share their product keys. I bought SO3 last year and gave the product key to four or five of my friends and it worked perfectly – on five different computers all at once.
How clever of you, One Eye. I think this is called "theft" in common parlance, but maybe you should contact the creators/publishers of the game to make sure.
July 26, 2010 at 17:01 #308888Do you know if you can export ratings out of Computer Timeform or Timeform Interactive, Drone?
No, they don’t allow export of racecard or formbook ratings, though I believe there is a way around it for those with the necessary ‘scraping’ skills
Horse/race comments can be exported as they’re presented in bog standard plain text
I had a moderately heated exchange with Bull’s boffins prior to the current upgrade concerning export facilities, pointing out that Raceform Interactive allowed it and, to me at least, enabling CT likewise would be a valuable boon. But they weren’t having it. ‘Copyright’ seemed to be a word freely bandied about
As it is, I export Sporting Life ‘fast cards’ into my tissue spread and type in the Timeform ratings manually
Never used Timeform i or whatever it’s called now so don’t know about that
I trialled Raceform Interactive a few years ago, on your recommendation if memory serves, but despite the useful export facilities wasn’t comfortable with it. A lot to be said for remaining with the ratings service you’re used to I think: interpretation of the familiar
July 26, 2010 at 17:08 #308891Thanks, Drone.
