I really hope so. Well Chief deserves to have his name alongside Moscow Flyer and Azertyuiop as a Champion Chase winner after the form he showed against them in the 2004/2005 season.
February 25, 2007 at 23:18 #41000Is Well Chief the best 2-miler not to win the Champion Chase? I’d imagine Desert Orchid and Kauto Star would have 2 mile form to be in the running to.

Danny, I think you should do the same with Flyingbolt’s more famous stablemate if you start a ‘best Gold Cup winner’ poll. It would be quite amusing having to click on ‘other’ to vote for ‘himself’!

February 27, 2007 at 17:50 #41004Flyingbolt without any doubt at all.
February 27, 2007 at 18:31 #41005Yep – Flyingbolt.
February 28, 2007 at 14:15 #41007What about Katabatic ? I loved him, maybe not an all time great but one of my favourites anyway. I loved the way Peter O’Sullevan used to pronounce his name in that deliberate style of his Kat-a-ba-tic. Great coulours too, the bright red of the Pell-Mell partners I believe.
February 28, 2007 at 17:55 #41010Another for Flyingbolt, easy.
February 28, 2007 at 20:44 #41015a little nostalgic:
Flyingbolt
Dunkirk
any other
Moscow Flyer – U [4th run of the season, sorry].
