Following on from the best ever champion hurdler poll (which is currently a dead heat between Night Nurse and Persian War) Who is the best ever Champion Chaser? Due to the poll only enabling 10 options I haven’t included Flagship Umberellas,Edredon Bleu, Royal Relief, Crisp, Fortia,Drinnys Double, Etc so if one of these is your preferred option vote other and specify which horse you think was the best.
February 25, 2007 at 17:54 #40967Erm no option for the second highest rated chaser ever then?
This is a no contest and it’s not one of those above.
February 25, 2007 at 17:56 #40969Moscow Flyer. Had two really high class rivals in Azertyuiop and Well Chief but neither really could get near him. Brilliant chaser.
February 25, 2007 at 18:01 #40970Irish Stamp,
What are you going on about?
February 25, 2007 at 18:04 #40972Flyingbolt
February 25, 2007 at 18:05 #40975Wot no Flyingbolt???
February 25, 2007 at 18:08 #40976Ye i’ve missed Flyingbolt off :o he was the bottom option but i changed it to other.
February 25, 2007 at 18:10 #40978Could we not have Azertyuiop/One Man (coupled)? ;)
February 25, 2007 at 18:12 #40979I will delete this poll and do a new one
February 25, 2007 at 18:16 #40980Anyone wishing to vote for FlyingBolt vote for other

February 25, 2007 at 18:35 #40986Badsworth Boy, for me.
February 25, 2007 at 18:38 #40988Never got to see FlyingBolt so Moscow by a proverbial for me
February 25, 2007 at 18:54 #40991Of those I’ve seen, I would have no hesitation in naming Pearlyman as the best.
Of course the older generation are always up against it when the 18 year olds are dominating the voting
February 25, 2007 at 20:04 #40992Voted ‘other’ (Flyingbolt) purely on my reading of his exploits. Too busy struggling to cope with those funny things ‘long trousers’ at the time Fb was strutting his stuff.
Arkle 212
Flyingbolt 210
speaks for itself
Moscow Flyer easily the best two-miler I’ve seen (Tingle Creek nb for his sheer flamboyance)
February 25, 2007 at 20:39 #40993MF for me
February 25, 2007 at 21:41 #40995Well, I’ve rowed in with Flyingbolt, easily the best winner of the race there’s ever been.
If it were a tricast, I’d place Moscow Flyer second and Fortria third.
February 25, 2007 at 22:55 #40996Moscow Flyer is the best I’ve seen, his victories over Azertyuiop & Well Chief were exceptional.
I’d like to join Grasshopper and give a mention to Remittance Man. Without injury he would have won more than one Champion Chase and he’s the best jumper of a fence that I have ever seen.
