Oh, that’s what I’m watching. I thought they were called dance but it’s the song that’s dance. Brilliant.

As soon as I heard Hielung’s music begin to build up thoughts of Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha jumped into my head. The music is so much in that time and the eerie throat singing very fitting for the sacrifices..chilling stuff.

When is Season 6 Vikings coming back Moe? It’s been such a long gap I’ll have to start watching Season 5 again to catch up.

Glastonbury not as good as the times when Tonge was there..what a line up that was Catherine. :good:

I got bored with Vikings. In fact I didn’t really like it after Ragnar (those eyes!) died and that was really early on wasn’t it. The girl with the black lips kept making me think of The Seer. I’ve got most of it on dvd but never bought the very last seasons. I’ve only got up to season 5. I never liked Ivar (I know you’re not meant to ‘like’ him but I couldn’t even be bothered to dislike him. I just kept thinking how can he do this or that if he can’t walk? But I now need to watch it if Heilung have done the music. It is unfinished business.

“I want to dress like that but think I’d struggle to fit the antlers into my Toyota Yaris.”

If there were a TRF Line Of The Year award, that would take some beating.

You know how the Flintstones used to power their car Glad…well taking the floor out of your Toyota Yaris should ensure a comfortable fit for those antlers, B-) which should not only see you awarded TRF Line Of The Year but also, if Nathan is lurking close by, Meme Of The Year too. :good: Jac

Jac, it was moehat who came up with the line about the antlers and the Yaris. Absolutely brilliant. 😂

Oops apologies for not reading moe’s post properly and thanks for pointing out Glad.

Well Moe I think you will look even more glamorous than Glad would have wearing those antlers
and your leopard print off the shoulder loincloth, freewheeling through the villages in your area. B-)

Vikings! Now you’re talking! I haven’t seen the last season and agree that it lost a lot of its appeal after Ragnar went (and Aethelstan) but I still want to see it to the end.

That was a selection over several years Jac but every year seemed to have a great line-up back then and I have forgotten most of the bands I saw!

“Expecting change from £7 for a pint at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club does seem optimistic.”

£8.10 for a pint of Camden IPA or a pint of Guinness.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, £8.50 for a pint of Stella Artois.

    I wouldn’t pay 85p…

Probably the brewed in the UK rubbish too.

Absolutely obscene prices but people will keep paying them so they won’t go down.

Did you know that Aethelstan went on to play Louis in Versailles? I had no idea it was him ( probably because of the wig) as me and my pal who also watched it were too obsessed with the gorgeous Phillipe duc d’Orleons.

Madri lager is the best example. Brewed in the very Spanish location of…Tadcaster.

Madri obviously employed some good marketing people, it’s about as Spanish as I am but it’s everywhere so it obviously sells.

Back on topic and I’m hoping to catch up on a bit of Glastonbury now there’s a break in the football, a few recommendations here that I might not otherwise have looked at :good:

I’m going to plough my way through everything on catchup over the next few weeks. Still nothing from Johnny Flynn or Sam Lee, though. I was so looking forward to seeing both of them.

Likewise, I might watch some material on iplayer today. I did not watch anything over the weekend.

Only £4.45 for a pint at Lancashire v Nottinghamshire on Sunday. Who needs Glastonbury or Wimbledon? ;-)

I was surprised to find that out about half way through thd first series Moe, that wig really threw me at first and also smitten with Phllippe (Alexander Vlahos) who among other parts (Outlander) can seen playing the rakish portrait artist Charles Lockhart in Sanditon Series 2.
