David, thanks to you and your team, and for all the contributors for making this such a terrific forum. I’m member on a few sites and and this is by far the most civilized! It’s a credit to everyone who uses it and maintains it.

And as I don my "Turkey Collection Team" sweatshirt for another annual stampede at good ol ‘M&S, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Aye, due thanks to Cormack, his back-room boys and the membership for making TRF a message board sans pareil

Grasshopper is an ‘immoderator’ surely :)

Thanks to everyone who keeps this site going and thanks to fellow forumites as my mates/family aren’t really into racing so this is the only place where I can sound off really!

Just a quick message to say a big THANK YOU from the team at The Racing Forum to all members, old and new, who’ve helped make it a great year for the site. We really appreciate the way everyone conducts themselves on here and we’re looking forward to continuing to improve the forum as we move forward.

It’s been an interesting year for us, dominated by the major changes we’ve made to the site, both in terms of the graphical interface itself and also the technology which drives it all. Much of the credit for the smooth transition from old to new should go to Charles and Andrew at Thus Ltd, who have joined The Racing Forum to help ensure the forum continues to develop. They’ve been busy working away all year helping ensure that all the techie bits and pieces I don’t understand work and that the site’s advertisers keep coming back, allowing us all to continue having stupid, meaningless arguments about which horse might run faster than another (among other things). They’re also working on the next steps and are about a year ahead of me at the minute. Thanks for your help and hard work guys.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to the members who help us with the day to day running and moderation of the site. In particular Bob Rolf, Matron, Grasshopper, Dave Jay, Jim JTS, Davidbrady, Johnny B, Happy Jack, Non Vintage and Adrian, all of whom have contributed greatly during the year. (Sorry if I’ve missed anyone).

Finally, of course, many thanks to everyone who posted, or indeed simply stopped by to have a read, during 2007.

So, as we hurtle headlong past Christmas and into 2008, it remains for us to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a great 2008. We sincerely hope to see each one of you back here at the end of next year when we’ll hopefully be looking back on another great year’s racing.

    Best wishes,

Cormack15 and The Racing Forum team.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to everyone here!

Although I’m not entirely convinced with the new look site I do appreciate that something is being done albeit slowly :? (the auto sizing of screen dimensions really need to be sorted so that no matter what browser or screen resolution is used the forum will look the same to everyone) – I know I know bah! humbug I hear you all cry! :)

Having said all that I like the characters apart from the odd few that have appeared here over the years (you can’t please all of the people all of the time I suppose) :D

I also see Doyley is still on the medication :D (he’s been taking it for years now)

As a relative newbie and mere novice to this racing forum game, I’d just like say it has been a pleasure thus far to mingle in such exalted and learned company. A well informed and generally well behaved bunch. You head a well run and respectable stable right enough Mr. C. 8)

So, may I take this opporchancity to wish you all a very merry xmas and my I also wish Kauto Star, Denman and Harchibald a safe and speedy path to their respective winning lines.

Oh, and my youngest daughter would like to pass on her best wishes to her favourite horse, The Hairy Lemon, who runs at Kempton on Boxing Day. She fell in love with the name, apparently.

As a ‘newbie’ this year, I’d like to say that this forum has been a great find for me. The inciteful, informative debates which go on every day are fascinating, and I’m grateful to all the patrons for making this place so interesting.

Also, huge thanks to Corm and his team for keeping the place running so smoothly, especially through the changeover to the new, more user-friendly format. (Even if they do appoint brand new members as mods!)

Merry Christmas to all, and a great ’08!

It’s compulsive reading, an essential barometer of what racing fans are thinking, so special thanks to all of the contributors and a very Happy Christmas to everyone in racingforum land

Hear hear, and on the point of "essential barometer", etc., here’s hoping enough of us all have said precisely that to get TRF a gong in the Netprophet Awards on January 1st!
