    How many trainers arrive at the races, drink at the bar and then go out and saddle horses? They are responsible for the lives of their jockey’s and someone else’s equine property. Its about time there was a zero tolerance of alcohol for stable staff and trainers on the course also.

    Actually, that is a very good point, Obiwan.

    While I cannot think of any trainers whose horses experience saddle slippage or tack problems

    MORE

    than others, there are many trainers whose charges I have never seen suffering these issues.

    Alcohol could be the explanation for this.
