Not inappropriate at all, LD73. Even though I have not read anything about the specifics of this incident, I believe it is a highly relevant point anyway.

September 4, 2022 at 13:59 #1613363This is a terrible tragedy. RIP Jack. My thoughts go out to the De Bromhead family and all those who knew and loved Jack.
September 4, 2022 at 16:16 #1613382I’ve walked that beach many times; a more serene and beautiful place you can’t imagine. A heartbreaking loss for Henry and his family.
September 4, 2022 at 17:18 #1613394Horrific news , no trainer has had a more successful couple of seasons but life alas always finds a way of reminding you no one gets everything all the time , as others have said I hope they find solace in he died doing something he loved

September 4, 2022 at 20:31 #1613413I read their tribute to their son Jack on racing post. They are being so very brave at such a hard time for them all. Thoughts go out to Jack’s family and friends

September 5, 2022 at 20:29 #1613486It’s striking that Laytown restructured its race programme about 25 years ago following some carnage there in 1994. One of the safety measures taken limited race distances to 7f, which removed the requirement for the field to negotiate a bend.
RIP Jack de Bromhead.
September 7, 2022 at 20:05 #1613713A terrible, terrible tragedy. My thoughts are with them all.
